The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Wednesday, September 22, tease that Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will have a disturbing dream as he’s haunted by his love for Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford). That dream will lead to Jack texting Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) for a meeting, so let’s talk about what’s coming up on Y&R.
For starters, Jack will have some regrets as he sulks alone. He’ll feel like it was a bad idea to tell Phyllis his true feelings and will wish he’d just kept his mouth shut.
After all, Jack had been bottling up what was in his heart for years. He’ll think he should’ve been more careful and avoided spilling anything to the woman he still loves.
As Jack dwells on this at home, he’ll hear Dina Mergeron’s (Marla Adams) voice. Dina will say something to “Jackie” right as he’s drifting off to sleep, so that’ll set the stage for this unsettling dream – which will bring plenty of familiar faces.
Jack will imagine Sally looking as lovely as ever, but he won’t blame her for their breakup.
Since deep down Jack was hoping Sally would somehow turn into Phyllis, he’ll know things were never going to work between them. Jack will accept that the split was his fault since he was essentially using Sally.
As for Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland), she’ll pop up in this dream with some guidance about Jack’s future. Traci won’t think it’s wise to fixate on ancient history and will push Jack to move on from Phyllis for good.
When Nick appears in Jack’s dream, it’ll turn into a real nightmare! Nick will feel like Jack stabbed him in the back by creating doubts for Phyllis.
It’s Nick who can’t shake the idea that passion isn’t enough, but he’ll hold Jack responsible in this dream and deliver some serious attitude.
Y&R’s weekly promo shows Nick ripping into Jack for coming clean to Phyllis, but Phyllis tells him to stop. It’ll put her firmly in the middle of this confrontation and add to Jack’s guilt in this dream of his.
Jack will be transported to the ranch for the next portion of his wild night, which will involve Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) battling temptation.
Since Jack was tipsy when he confessed his love for Phyllis, Nikki will threaten to fall off the wagon. It’ll leave Jack with another challenge as he works to keep Nikki sober.
Later, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will show up in Jack’s dream with his own words of wisdom.
Since Victor isn’t a big fan of Phyllis, he may not think she belongs with Nick or Jack for that matter!Victor will definitely have some interesting guidance just before Jack wakes up startled.
At that point, Jack will decide there’s something he needs to do.
Jack will text Nick to meet up and clear the air, so that’ll lead to a tense conversation at Crimson Lights later this week. We’ll offer updates as other Y&R news rolls in.
