The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for the week of August 30-September 3 teases that Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will face a showstopper setback while Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) deals with her new baby obsession. Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will also get busted, so let’s talk about what’s coming up.
Y&R fans know Sally has set quite a goal for herself – one that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will soon declare impossible.
Sally hopes to design Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) wedding gown, so she’ll be disappointed when Victoria decides to skip the Newman Media launch party.
Of course, it’s not surprising that Victoria will bail on the event since she has issues with Adam Newman (Mark Grossman).
Victoria may also be busy dealing with Ashland Locke’s (Richard Burgi) upcoming health crisis, but the point is she won’t show up – and that’ll be a bummer for Sally.
After Sally explains her plan to Adam, he’ll argue that there’s no way Sally will even talk Victoria into letting her design this dress.
Adam will think it’s just too much to ask considering everything that went down between Sally and Summer Newman (Hunter King).
However, telling Sally she can’t do something is a surefire way to get her to work harder!
Sally will become even more determined to give Victoria the wedding showstopper of the century, even if it takes multiple conversations to get her on board.
Adam will enjoy shaking up the launch bash by having Sally for a date. Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will clash with Sally, but it’ll be Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) who Sally’s presence pushes too far in The Grand Phoenix lobby.
Phyllis will tell Sally to take her ‘circus act somewhere else’ and leave to which Sally will tell Phyllis ‘go to hell, bitch.’
After Sally throws a glass of liquid on her rival she will get an ice bucket poured on her head when Phyllis decides she just can’t deal with the upstart’s drama any longer.
As for Mariah, she’ll be torn between her head and her heart. Mariah will know she needs to honor the agreement she made with Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) and let the baby bond with his true mother.
However, that’ll be difficult after everything Mariah went through with Bowie when she was trapped.
Mariah’s heart will ache for the baby as she becomes a bit obsessed with him. She’ll be tormented by her past in some way, so that could involve captivity memories or maybe some that date further back.
Regardless, it’ll be interesting to see if Mariah bottles up her feelings or perhaps shares them with Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) and even Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case).
It would certainly help if Mariah talked about what she was tackling, but she may downplay her need for help right now.
Over with Billy, he’ll get stuck in a compromising situation. Victoria might catch Billy red-handed as he searches for info on Ashland’s past.
Billy will get busted one way or another, so he’ll have to pay for his blunder – and that could mean listening to Victoria rip into him.
