Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Craig Wesley (Kevin Spirtas) may be cheating on Nancy Wesley (Patrika Darbo) with a man, not another woman. Will this set up Leo Stark’s (Greg Rikaart) return? Let’s talk about Chloe Lane’s (Nadia Bjorlin) parents, their marriage crisis and what this storyline might be building to.
For starters, Nancy just showed up in Salem with accusations about Chloe’s father. She thinks Craig is having an affair and will reveal all the reasons why during the week of January 17-21.
Days spoilers say Chloe and Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) will advise against making snap judgments without all the facts.
Based on what Nancy tells them, they’ll know this doesn’t look good.
Even so, Brady and Chloe will think the best thing Nancy could do is sit down and have a long talk with secretive Craig.
Chloe will leave her dad a voicemail in the meantime and push for answers.
Craig will realize this is serious enough to warrant a trip to Salem, so he’ll catch a flight from New York and arrive to share his side of the story.
That brings us to a couple of interesting clues from DOOL’s weekly promo. Nancy can be heard insisting that Craig is cheating with another woman.
There’s also a moment where Craig looks frustrated – like maybe there’s indeed a secret he needs to confess but not the one Nancy thinks.
All signs point to this Days storyline being a little more complicated than your average affair, so what’s going on here?
It’s easy to imagine Nancy flinging these accusations about another woman being in the picture only to learn a man’s in the picture instead.
Kevin Spirtas is openly gay, so perhaps they’re going to let real life bleed into the fictional world of Salem somewhat.
Maybe Craig has been coming to grips with his sexuality for a while now and just doesn’t know how to tell Nancy the truth.
That would soften the blow of Craig’s affair and give Chloe’s whole family an interesting story to tell.
We also know Greg Rikaart is set to reprise his role as Leo Stark in the not-too-distant future. Could Craig be cheating with Leo?
Leo is a bit of a player who’ll hit on any handsome man in sight, so we certainly can’t rule it out.
Then again, Craig might be cheating with a different guy right now. In that case, perhaps Leo could come to town and hit on Craig later.
Regardless, it’s reasonable to think Leo – a man who’s extremely comfortable with his sexuality – might cross paths with Craig if this is a coming out story.
