Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that we have to ask: Will Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (Richard Wharton) plant Stefan DiMera’s (Brandon Barash) memories in Jake DiMera’s (Brandon Barash) brain? Will this mad scientist save one twin with a twist?
Let’s really think about this for a moment. Dr. Rolf has suddenly been pardoned and is a free man again – just in time for Jake to get shot and supposedly die.
Jake will indeed take a seemingly fatal bullet during the week of July 25-27, but we all know things aren’t always as they seem on DOOL.
Dr. Rolf has been dropping hints about his chance to continue very important work.
Will Jake’s “death” provide an amazing opportunity for the clever DiMera doc?
After Jake’s apparent demise, Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) will be devastated. Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) will be pretty broken up about Jake’s death as well.
Although Chad didn’t like Jake all that much, they were still brothers and connected recently over Abigail DiMera’s (Marci Miller) murder.
EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) will also work to gain an advantage at DiMera Enterprises – no doubt by trying to snatch up Jake’s shares before he’s even cold in the ground.
Of course, there’s a chance Jake won’t wind up in a grave at all if Dr. Rolf has anything to say about it!
Based on all the spoilers so far, it’s clear that Jake is being written out. That doesn’t mean that Jake’s mind and body wouldn’t be useful for one of Dr. Rolf’s wild science experiments.
After all, we’ve seen Days do stories involving memory chips and situations like when Stefano DiMera’s (Joseph Mascolo) “essence” was placed into Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols).
Will Days take a similar route now? They could be gearing up for a memory-mapping type of storyline where Stefan is brought back to life by putting his memories into Jake.
In other words, Jake’s mind and body could become a vessel to bring Stefan – who was brain dead and had his heart removed – back to life.
It’s a whole lot easier to explain Jake becoming Stefan than it is to make an excuse for Stefan’s survival.
Since Days insiders have been hinting about Stefan’s return, perhaps this is how it’ll happen.
Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) will discover what Dr. Rolf is working on during the week of August 1-5 and will be left reeling.
If Dr. Rolf uses his back-from-the-dead serum to save Jake and then plants Stefan’s memories into his brain, that would certainly be enough to shock Kristen!
It’s an interesting option to consider, so we’ll give you updates as other DOOL news comes in.
