Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Monday, May 16, reveals that Tripp Johnson (Lucas Adams) jumped out a tower window to save Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) – and Ciara Brady Weston (Victoria Konefal) rescued the baby with Bo Brady’s (Peter Reckell) help. Here’s how all the latest Days drama played out.
At the Salem PD on Monday’s DOOL episode, Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) got an alert about Jan Spears’ (Heather Lindell) ankle monitor going off. John Black (Drake Hogestyn) decided he’d go take care of it so that Shawn could help out with the hunt for Ciara’s newborn.
Once John found Jan, she was wearing some steamy sleepwear for Shawn and admitted she got bored. Jan was hoping Shawn would come due to the ankle monitor going off, but John suggested she was stuck with him instead.
Although John felt confident Shawn and Belle Brady’s (Martha Madison) love would prevail, Jan held out hope for being a family with Shawn and their baby.
At the pub, Belle got some advice from Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) regarding her marriage and the choice she was facing. After Belle heard the news about Jan’s ankle monitor, she grew concerned about what would happen if Jan was roaming free.
Over with Tripp, he spoke to Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) on the phone and insisted he still loved Allie. Tripp decided he had to help Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) in the cemetery and made his way there.
Meanwhile, Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) tried to reach the baby and was knocked unconscious. Ciara was given some heavenly help as a white light began glowing around her – especially from her hands as she fought the devil’s red glow.
Once Allie lost control of the ritual, Ciara rushed to her baby boy and picked him up. Allie raced off, but Charlie Dale (Mike Manning) was upset over Ciara ruining everything since he was supposed to raise her child.
After Charlie decided to kill a still unconscious Ben, he moved toward his victim with a knife. Tripp appeared in the nick of time and bashed Charlie with a baseball bat to stop him.
Once Tripp found out Allie was headed in the direction of St. Luke’s, he took off after her. Ben met his son, who officially got the name Beauregard Brady Weston. Ciara and Ben then took little Bo to the hospital, where Shawn and Belle met up with them.
Although Belle and Shawn shared a nice bonding moment, it was interrupted when Jan summoned Shawn to get her a cheeseburger. Shawn dashed off to deal with Jan’s pregnancy cravings and left Belle frustrated all over again.
Once Belle and Shawn were gone, Ben and Ciara reflected on the rescue. After Ciara admitted to feeling a presence helping her, Bo’s spirit appeared dressed in all white and greeted “Little One.” Ciara realized it was Bo who came through for her and left him feeling honored over the baby’s name.
At St. Luke’s on Monday’s Days episode, possessed Allie was ready to go out in a blaze of glory. There were flashbacks of when Marlena previously burned down St. Luke’s before Allie poured gasoline and lit a candle.
After Johnny and Tripp arrived, they pushed Allie to fight back against the devil. Allie tried to regain control and stick around for Henry Horton (Nash and Clyde Gunderson), but the devil was too strong.
When Marlena, John and Father Eric showed up, they tried to carry out an exorcism. The devil was only willing to leave Allie’s body if she died and prepared to snap her neck. That’s when Tripp piped up for the devil to take him instead.
Tripp insisted he still loved Allie and was willing to make this sacrifice, so the devil ultimately went inside his body. Allie collapsed nearby while Tripp’s eyes glowed yellow. The devil revealed that he still intended to kill Allie and wanted her to die at Tripp’s own hands.
However, Tripp fought back enough to realize there was only one way out of this mess. After Tripp rushed toward the tower window, he smashed out of it and was left injured on the ground below.
