Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Tuesday, September 13, reveals that Nicole Walker Hernandez (Arianne Zucker) duped Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) with an Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) job offer story. Orpheus (George DelHoyo) also prepared to get his sick revenge, so here’s how all the DOOL drama went down.
In bed at home, Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) was tired of talking about Orpheus and just wanted to get back to normal.
John Black (Drake Hogestyn) was still concerned about the threat, but he relented on Marlena resuming work at the hospital.
Next on Tuesday’s Days episode, Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) received yellow roses and assumed Orpheus was back at it, so she threw them across the room.
Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) admitted they were from him and was surprised when Kayla sneezed from the smell of the flowers.
At the pub, Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow) brought Roman Brady (Josh Taylor) a cupcake since she ruined his birthday cake by sneezing on it.
Unfortunately, Kate sneezed on the cupcake as well and was running a slight fever, so Roman convinced her to get checked out by a doctor.
Back with John on Tuesday’s Days episode, he joined Steve at his place and strategized about how to find Orpheus.
Neither one of them was willing to sit around and get blindsided while Orpheus made the next move.
At the hospital, Kate interrupted Marlena and Kayla’s conversation since she was there to see Kayla professionally.
After Kate explained her symptoms – including the fact that she got woozy on the way up – she fainted before she could be taken to an exam room.
Kayla rushed to Kate’s side and made sure she was admitted.
Once Kate woke up and got updates on what happened, Kayla realized she was having some of the same symptoms and passed out, too.
Kate pressed the button to call for help and got out of bed to awaken Kayla.
After Kayla regained consciousness, Kate insisted she didn’t think this was a coincidence. Kayla and Kate knew Marlena needed to be warned.
Unfortunately, it was too late for that since Roman arrived at the hospital just in time to catch Marlena, who collapsed in his arms.
John and Steve were both summoned to be with their loves, so it didn’t take long for everyone to figure out Orpheus was behind this.
Kayla assumed Orpheus had administered or exposed his hostages to something at the warehouse.
Orpheus later called with a video message to confirm he was responsible for his former captives falling ill.
After Orpheus said he didn’t want to keep John, Steve and Roman in suspense on what was in store, he acknowledged that it sounded ominous.
Over with Rafe, he dreamed Nicole was under the sheets with Eric telling him this had to be their secret.
Rafe appeared and declared that it was too late for that.
After grabbing Nicole forcefully, Rafe shouted that they were married and demanded to know how she could betray him like this.
Nicole realized Rafe was clutching the covers in his sleep and woke him up moments later.
When pressed, Rafe confessed that he dreamed he found Nicole in bed with Eric.
After Rafe mentioned his discussion with Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu) potentially sparking this nightmare, Nicole wondered if Jada revealed that she went to see Eric.
Rafe admitted that Jada didn’t and suddenly became quite curious about the reason for this visit.
Nicole didn’t want to tell Rafe about her sizzling Eric dream, so she lied that she wanted to offer a photographer job for the new Basic Black campaign.
Rafe asked if Eric was going to take the job, but Nicole claimed Jada interrupted before they could finish the conversation.
In bed with Eric, Jada said she didn’t plan on sleeping with him again so soon. Although Jada worried part of Eric judged her since he used to be a priest, he assured her that wasn’t the case.
Eric seemed a little lost as he talked about wanting to do something that mattered with his life.
Since Eric was used to having goals, it was new not knowing what he wanted to do next.
Over breakfast, Eric told Jada about his background in fashion photography and how Nicole used to be a model.
Jada also looked at Eric’s photos from Africa and wondered if he was interested in getting back into photography now.
After Jada pointed out that Eric’s brother owned a fashion company, Eric noted that Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) co-owned it with Nicole.
Jada acknowledged that all roads lead back to Nicole before Eric suggested maybe he could do some work for Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) at The Spectator.
Although Jada had to get going, she looked forward to a third date along with Eric.
After Jada left, Eric assumed she forgot something when he heard a knock at the door.
t turned out to be Nicole, so there was some awkwardness as Eric answered the door wearing only a towel.
At the Salem PD, Rafe got Jada talking about Eric and asked whether he was going to take that job.
Jada asked what job and wondered what Rafe was talking about.
