Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Wednesday, September 21 Recap – Chloe’s Video Footage Sinks Kristen – Brady’s Full Custody Win

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Wednesday, September 21, reveals that Chloe Lane’s (Nadia Bjorlin) video footage sank Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) and scored Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) a full custody win. Here’s how all the DOOL action played out.

At the Salem PD, Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) threatened to kill Orpheus (George DelHoyo) with a pen unless he provided answers about what he did to his former hostages.

Orpheus wasn’t cooperative, so Steve lunged at him until Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) dragged him out.

Meanwhile, Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) lied to Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) over the phone about her allergies acting up.

Both Kayla and Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) were coughing as well as sniffling, but neither of them wanted their children to know about Orpheus’ biotoxin.

At the custody hearing, John Black (Drake Hogestyn) wiped away tears and was distracted over Marlena’s ordeal while testifying.

Kristen questioned John as a judge of character since Marlena went on a three-month crime spree and he didn’t seem to notice.

After Kristen mocked Marlena for claiming the devil made her do it, she wondered where Marlena was now since Brady was supposedly so important to her.

John shouted that Marlena could be dying and called Kristen a “miserable bitch,” so the judge took a recess and let everyone calm down.

Once the judge was gone, John explained the Orpheus situation.

Kristen tried to play nice with Brady and act like she was sorry about Marlena, but he wasn’t buying it and now knew he couldn’t share custody with her.

After Brady and Belle Brady (Martha Madison) visited Marlena in the hospital, she pushed them to go back to the custody hearing and “fight like hell” for Rachel Black (Finley Rose Slater).

Back at the police station, Chloe complained to Shawn about the custody drama and wanted him to testify, but he acted like he wouldn’t be helpful.

All Shawn could testify to is that Philip Kiriakis’ (Jay Kenneth Johnson) case had gone cold.

In Kate Roberts’ (Lauren Koslow) hospital room, she got dressed and warned Roman Brady (Josh Taylor) that she was getting out of there whether he understood or not.

If Kate really only had a little time left, she refused to be cooped up where she didn’t feel like herself.

Roman wasn’t happy about Kate checking out of the hospital, but he realized it wasn’t his call to make.

While Kate and Roman were having breakfast at the pub, Chloe appeared and pushed Kate to testify that she didn’t think Brady killed Philip.

Kate said she’d think about it, so Chloe sarcastically suggested that Kate shouldn’t put herself out since it was just the life of a little child at stake.

After Chloe left, Roman suggested the judge should know Philip was alive, but Kate protested that he could go to prison and have a mental health setback.

However, Roman pointed out that Brady could lose custody of Rachel and that he didn’t deserve that – just like he didn’t deserve what Philip did to him.

After Chloe clashed with Kristen, she cornered the judge alone and wanted to talk to her.

Once the conversation happened offscreen, the custody hearing resumed.

Back with Roman, he eventually showed up with news that could affect the case.

The judge insisted she’d already made her decision, and Days viewers later learned Brady had been granted full custody of Rachel.

Kristen assumed Chloe had something to do with this, so Chloe flashed back to handing the judge a thumb drive with video footage of Kristen attacking her at the office.

Chloe urged the judge to watch and decide if that’s who should be raising an innocent child.

Once Chloe snapped back to the present, she guessed that the judge must’ve put Rachel’s welfare first.

Kristen snarled that this wasn’t over before storming out – leaving Brady to celebrate with Belle and Chloe.

Next on Wednesday’s Days episode, Kate called Philip and assured him everything was fine.

After Kate learned Philip had to dash off to therapy, she said she was just calling to tell him that she loved him.

When Roman returned, he offered updates on the judge’s decision and how he didn’t have to reveal that Philip was alive.

In the interrogation room again, Orpheus told Shawn that Steve, John and Roman would all watch the women they loved die. Then, Orpheus would finally be avenged.

As for Kayla, she tried to explain that the ISA was struggling to find answers and that they needed more time.

Kayla wound up fainting again as Steve tended to her, so that brought more concerns about her declining health.
