General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Friday, August 19, teases that Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth) will deal with a cousin crisis while Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) seeks the truth. Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) will also make a risky phone call, so let’s talk about what’s in store.
First, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) will seem down as he opens up to Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero).
Things were going great with Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) until Dante suggested moving in together, but now Dante will worry he’s blown it.
Olivia will offer some guidance, but she’ll take matters into her own hands during the week of August 22-26 and try to help Dante fix this.
Until then, we’ll see a Davis girls’ gathering. Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) will hint about no news being good news, so she may hope the lack of updates she’s received from her daughters is a positive sign.
Kristina Corinthos (Lexi Ainsworth) is doing well these days, but Molly Lansing-Davis (Haley Pullos) will seem a bit on edge.
Maybe Molly is having some doubts about her career path since Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) came so close to a terrible injustice.
As for Sam, she may admit the relationship hiccup she’s faced with Dante.
Sam won’t see why they should rush living together when things are fine the way they are.
Dante assured Sam that the pressure was off, but she may sense that he’s disappointed.
Even so, Sam doesn’t want to live in Lulu Spencer’s (Emme Rylan) old house or risk ruining what she’s been building with Dante.
However, it’s reasonable for Dante to want to know their romance is headed somewhere. Sam may get some tough love from Alexis and her sisters about what commitment really looks like.
Over with Finn, he’ll decide he has to contact Elizabeth Baldwin’s (Rebecca Herbst) parents if it might help her, so he’ll risk making Liz hate his guts.
Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison) will probably wish Finn luck before turning his attention to Alexis, who may want to talk about feedback on The Invader again.
Alexis and Gregory might also connect over their kids’ dramatic lives and agree they’ll never stop wanting to protect them.
At GH, Elizabeth will clean up her bloody hand and get grilled about it. TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) will wonder what happened and will fear Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) might’ve said something that crossed the line.
Liz will assure TJ that Scott isn’t to blame, but she’ll struggle to make sense of her resurfaced memory.
We’ll also see Liz tell someone the truth, so she may open up about that staircase flashback.
As for Finn, he’ll indeed get in touch with a face from Liz’s history.
It sounds like Finn will call Jeff Webber (last played by Richard Dean Anderson), so Liz’s father should become a bigger part of the story soon.
Next, Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) will once again find herself confused by Cody Bell (Josh Kelly).
Cody’s attempts to flirt usually end in disaster, so it’s no surprise that Britt will take offense.
Britt will struggle to know if Cody is trying to charm her or insult her, so he really needs to work on his skills in the romantic department.
Other General Hospital spoilers say Maxie will sense that Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) knows more than he’s letting on.
Spinelli may have a hard time hiding the fact that Britt and Cody’s “match” isn’t the real deal.
Of course, Maxie might also wonder what Spinelli’s algorithms said about her own love story with Austin.
Spinelli knows they aren’t a good match based on his findings, but Maxie may push to find out why.
Elsewhere, Austin will meet with his cousin for another fierce faceoff. Mason (Nathanyael Grey) has been threatening Austin on the boss’ behalf, but Austin will hope to put a stop to that.
The most important thing to Austin will be keeping Maxie and her loved ones away from all this drama.
Austin will make that crystal clear to Mason, but this secret is still going to come out sooner or later.
