General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Friday, December 23, reveals that Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) wrapped up a brief Christmas celebration with Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros), Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) and Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms).
Britt rattled off all the holiday activities left on her list, but Liesl privately insisted she had many more Christmases ahead.
Instead of living each day like it was her last, Liesl suggested Britt should live like it’s the first and appreciate the magic.
At the Quartermaine mansion, Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) and Ned Quartermaine’s (Wally Kurth) plans for an intimate holiday gathering went awry.
Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth) became part of the celebration before Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) delivered bad news about the roads being closed.
Olivia invited Cody to join them, but Ned grew concerned about the lack of food.
However, Olivia was adamant about making it work and whipped up an extra lasagna.
Soon after, Molly Lansing-Davis (Haley Pullos) and TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) arrived since the blocked road prevented their travels.
TJ and Molly hoped they could wait it out at the Quartermaine manse, so Olivia invited them in, too.
Next, a pregnant woman showed up after having car troubles. Since she had been part of a nearby nativity scene, she was dressed as the virgin Mary.
Ned thought it was ridiculous to keep adding guests like this, but Olivia didn’t exactly think she could tell the woman there was no room at the inn!
Unfortunately, the pregnant lady ate Olivia’s spicy sauce and went into labor.
Although Austin and TJ were there, they didn’t have the necessary experience since the baby was breech.
What this woman needed was an OB-GYN, but they couldn’t get to GH due to the snowy closed roads.
At Brando Corbin’s (Johnny Wactor) garage, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) found Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) there and learned the place was being sold soon.
Sasha had a little garage experience, but she was struggling to finish Brando’s bike by 2023 like he wanted.
Sonny insisted he’d help Sasha and vowed to get this done by dinnertime, so Sasha was grateful.
Britt showed up after spinning out in her car and let it slip about her last Christmas in Port Charles, but she covered by hinting to Sasha about a job in Boston.
Once Cody called with updates on the virgin Mary giving birth, Britt wondered how much eggnog he’d had to drink.
Austin took the phone and explained the actual situation, which led to Britt hopping on the finished motorcycle with Sasha.
Britt and Sasha raced over to the Quartermaine mansion, where Britt helped the woman bring her baby girl into the world.
The woman was thankful enough to name her baby Britta Noel, so Britt was touched over the gesture.
Meanwhile, Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) flipped out when she learned her flight to Portland was canceled.
The plan was to meet up with Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) and Georgie Spinelli (Lily Fisher) there since he’d taken their daughter to visit Ellie Spinelli (Emily Trout).
Liesl insisted the Maxie she knew wouldn’t give up and felt there had to be a solution.
Nina called her business manager and learned a hanger in Toronto was still letting flights take off, so Maxie called Brook Lynn to see if her family had a private jet available.
Brook Lynn worked out the jet issue, but Maxie still needed a way to get across the border fast.
Austin came through by calling in a favor from Mason (Nathanyael Grey), who hooked Maxie up with a shady boat to get her into Canada.
The plane Maxie wound up on had to land early due to bad weather, so Maxie found herself frustrated and stuck at the airport.
In Portland, Georgie lashed out over Maxie not making it by Christmas and stomped off to another room.
Ellie also mentioned a new suitor who used to live in Port Charles and called Spinelli out on falling for Maxie again.
Spinelli acted like he was hoping to use Christmas to rekindle things, but he didn’t think that would happen now.
Ellie suggested Spinelli shouldn’t give up that easily, so Spinelli was convinced he should find a way to make Christmas magic happen for Georgie.
Spinelli settled on a plan similar to Maxie’s, so he inadvertently landed at the same airport with Georgie later.
Maxie was overjoyed and felt that Spinelli always came through for her, so the three of them had a merry Christmas after all.
Back with Ellie, her phone rang and fans could see that Dr. Griffin Munro (Matt Cohen) was on the caller ID.
Ellie answered and seemed pleased to chat with the new man in her life.
In Port Charles again, Laura Collins (Genie Francis) talked to Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) about what they could do to open the roads again as soon as possible.
Afterward, Jordan was surprised to find TJ and Molly at the Q manse when she arrived with the EMT for the pregnant woman and her new baby.
At Elizabeth Baldwin’s (Rebecca Herbst) place, Cameron Webber (William Lipton) seemed worried about his mom as she gazed at a framed photo of herself with Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) and Violet Finn (Jophielle Love).
Liz assured Cameron that she was fine and got a pep talk from Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) once he showed up for a Christmas visit.
Laura also arrived to support Liz, who realized she’d been focusing on her problematic parents instead of all the people who were already there for her.
Finally, Nina was alone at her apartment until Sonny made it back from the garage to share a holiday kiss.
