General Hospital Spoilers: Monday, May 23 Recap – Brad’s Bold Move with Carly – Willow Fumes At Nina

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Monday, May 23, reveals that Brad Cooper (Parry Shen) made a bold move with Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) – and Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) debated whether she was stolen or given away during a shouting match with Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros).

For starters, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) was concerned about Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) plan to testify on Nina’s behalf and advised against it.

Sonny complained about Michael Corinthos’ (Chad Duell) lack of respect, but Dante thought they both needed to grow up before they lost each other forever.

At the Quartermaine mansion, Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) cracked a joke about a meeting happening behind his back. However, Ned softened when he realized Michael was on his way to the visitation hearing with Willow.

Once Willow and Michael were gone, Ned and Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) got into another heated argument about the merger. Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) finally piped up to stop the bickering and asked why everything had to turn into a death cage match with this family.

Later, Brook Lynn filled Drew in on her dilemma with Linc Brown (Dan Buran), who owned all her old songs. Drew suggested that maybe Brook Lynn should just keep moving forward and write new stuff, so she considered the idea briefly.

However, things changed once Linc sent Brook Lynn a demo of a song that had all the soul stripped out of it. It was now a techno mess that resembled nothing like the original, so Brook Lynn considered it a crime! After Brook Lynn decided to fight Linc, she made a phone call for help.

In the courtroom, Nina made it clear to Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) that she still had some punches to throw. There was talk about the hearing and whether something might still happen between Nina and Sonny.

Nina had hope and pointed out that Sonny was going to testify on her behalf, but Michael was furious when he overheard the news with Willow. That led to another heated confrontation, but Maxie did her best to play referee.

Michael considered what would’ve happened if Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) hadn’t killed Peter August (Wes Ramsey) and wondered if Peter would still be part of Bailey Louise Jones’ (Jett and London Prinzo-Berendt) life.

Maxie seemed appalled at the idea of comparing Nina to Peter, but Michael felt they could indeed be compared from a legal standpoint. The conversation shifted to blood not making you family, so Nina took a jab about Harmony Miller (Inga Cadranel) and upset Willow.

Willow argued that Harmony’s secret didn’t change the fact that she was her mother for all those years, but Nina brought up Willow’s birth parents being robbed. That led Willow to suggest that maybe they gave her away and pointed out that Nina didn’t know anything more than she did.

In a moment alone with Nina, Maxie advised her to back off since she was making things worse. Nina apologized for going too far with Willow, who wasn’t interested in fake remorse. Michael also ranted about Nina’s pattern of behavior and felt that Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Viron Weaver) must be protected.

At the yoga studio, Carly was on her way out when she crossed paths with Brad and Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud). After Brad acknowledged the pain he caused in the past, he suggested it’d be best to find a solution regarding this Nina situation for Wiley’s sake.

Brad pointed out that what happened with Michael and AJ Quartermaine (Sean Kanan) could happen all over again. Although Brad felt Wiley might felt cheated out of a relationship with Nina once he was older, Carly acted like Wiley might understand and be grateful instead.

Britt backed Brad up for Nina’s sake, but Carly didn’t seem willing to budge. Nevertheless, Britt was impressed over Brad standing up to Carly like that.

Brad suggested maybe he got his new confidence from working with Selina Wu (Lydia Look) and admitted the new job was going pretty well. Britt seemed a bit uncomfortable as Brad thanked her for talking him into working for Selina.

Just before Carly entered the courtroom, she got a text about the DNA results being ready to pick up at GH.

In Brooklyn, TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) talked to Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) at the hospital about a discovery he made in Marshall Ashford’s (Robert Gossett) hotel room.

Curtis learned Marshall was taking an antipsychotic, so TJ talked about how Marshall may have stayed away because he was volatile – not to mention the stigma was worse back then.

Afterward, Curtis visited Marshall’s bedside with some heartfelt words. Marshall woke up startled, but Curtis reassured him that his son was there.

At GH, Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) spoke to Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) about Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) seemingly being behind the stalker incidents. Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) joined the conversation to talk about what people were capable of while sleepwalking.

Liz’s blood tests and MRI were normal, so there was no underlying physical cause for her behavior. Terry Randolph (Cassandra James) asked questions about Liz’s sleeping pills and planned to run some follow-up tests.

Kevin admitted there could be an emotional source behind the conflict – something deep in Liz’s subconscious that was trying to get out. Although Finn didn’t think Liz would hurt the people she loved, she was concerned she’d already attacked Chase.

Liz had to protect her family, so she announced that she’d decided how to do that. Meanwhile, Chase met up with Brook Lynn and learned she needed his help to fight back against Linc.

We’ll deliver updates as other info comes in. General Hospital spoilers say Brook Lynn and Chase could run into some trouble thanks to their upcoming plan, so keep watching! CDL will have lots of other great General Hospital spoilers, news and updates, so make us your favorite hotspot.
