General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) will confess to killing Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl), so he’ll protect Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) by lying to Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy).
Now that Esme has gone missing, it’s already sparking some questions. Victor will have a few of his own during the week of August 15-19, so he’ll turn to Nikolas for answers.
There’ll be some things that don’t add up to suspicious Victor, who’ll no doubt assume Nikolas knows more than he’s letting on.
Of course, Victor isn’t exactly the most trustworthy person around town.
Nikolas knows Victor has been helpful to Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) in some cases, but he’s still a wildcard and not someone you can always rely on.
That’s especially true when it comes to someone like Ava, who isn’t blood.
Victor can be pretty ruthless when he wants to be, so Nikolas won’t want to risk dragging Ava into more trouble.
Once Nikolas is backed into a corner, he’ll decide the best thing he can do is lie. Nikolas will claim he’s the one who killed Esme and hope that Victor buys it.
Victor certainly won’t judge Nikolas or mind that Esme is gone, but he’s bound to question Nik’s change of heart.
After all, Victor already suggested a fatal elimination was in order, but Nikolas insisted they couldn’t kill Esme and convinced Victor to back off.
Now Nikolas will be insisting he did the deadly deed, so Victor should once again battle suspicions and wonder if he’s getting the real story.
Nevertheless, Nikolas will be committed to protecting Ava from the fallout, so he’ll stand by his own killer claims and hope to keep her out of this.
Since Esme is surely alive, she’s bound to make a big GH comeback down the road and shake things up.
Nikolas and Ava will have to deal with much more Esme drama, so don’t miss what’s in store.
