General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) may kick off his own secret Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) investigation. Will Sonny follow a shocking trail and reunite Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) with her daughter?
Sonny overheard Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) hitting a dead end in the November 23 episode. That might’ve been important for a couple reasons.
For starters, it alerted Sonny to the fact that Willow now wants to find her birth parents and any other living relatives.
It also left Sonny feeling a little irritated that Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) wasn’t turning to him for help instead.
Of course, Sonny really shouldn’t be surprised considering the state of his relationship with Michael.
It’s clear that Michael doesn’t want Sonny’s help with this or anything else.
However, Sonny could easily decide that his resources would come in handy here.
Perhaps Sonny will determine that his investigative team would do a much better job of uncovering information.
Sonny might even think this could be a good strategy to score some points with Michael.
Maybe Sonny will decide that if he succeeds after Drew fails, it could help him make some progress with Michael.
Regardless, Sonny understands the importance of family and may pitch in whether Michael wants him to or not.
If Sonny eventually gets updates on the bone marrow donor match search, that could give him even more of an incentive to help.
Sonny really does have a solid team backing him up when it comes to investigations.
This could be Sonny’s chance to do a good deed and make some progress with Michael.
Nevertheless, Sonny doesn’t realize what could be waiting for him at the end of this investigation.
Wouldn’t it be something if Sonny was the one to expose the biological link between Nina and Willow?
Sonny knows Nina grieved for Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier), especially since she only found out Nelle was her child after it was too late.
Willow is a second-chance daughter, but her leukemia situation could mean she’s in danger of slipping away as well.
Sonny could save Willow’s life if he uncovers this bio connection and Nina ends up being a match like most of us expect.
Perhaps Sonny will give Nina the ultimate gift by offering another daughter to love – and Willow could get the gift of life if Nina is able to save hers.
There’s surely a reason why GH writers brought Sonny in the loop on this biological family hunt.
Sonny seems poised to launch his own investigation and could possibly be the one to deliver some real answers, particularly if Phyllis Caulfield (Joyce Guy) gets involved.
