General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Thursday, August 11, teases that Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) will sound the alarm while Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) claps back. Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) will also question a sacrifice and face Spencer Cassadine’s (Nicholas Chavez) request, so here’s what GH fans can expect.
For starters, Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) will remain rattled due to Anna Devane’s (Finola Hughes) blackmail threat, but he’ll apparently spill the truth to Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring). It seems Lucy may help figure out Valentin Cassadine’s (James Patrick Stuart) secret, so Martin will appreciate the backup.
Next, Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth) may have no choice but to break a promise. The man who was hounding Austin on The Haunted Star is named Mason (Nathanyael Grey) – and he happens to be Austin’s cousin.
Austin could face consequences from his mysterious boss if he doesn’t do what he’s told, so there’s a lot at stake. That’s particularly true since Austin doesn’t want Maxie and her kids to get dragged into the mess.
Nevertheless, Maxie will be disappointed over Austin canceling his weekend with the children. Since Maxie was really hoping they could all do some bonding, she won’t be happy about Austin bailing out of the blue.
Austin may vow to reschedule and will work hard to undo any damage he causes. Although Maxie will be bummed, Austin may promise to make things up to her and head off to deal with more Mason chaos.
At the PCPD, Sonny will question whether Spencer really wants to be the sacrificial lamb here. Spencer will have to decide whether he’ll rat out his accomplices or just face his stint behind bars.
Of course, it could be a mistake to turn against Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) considering what he’s capable of. Victor has also shown consistent support for Spencer, so he may think it’s wise to just accept his fate.
That said, it appears Spencer will hope for one last favor before he heads to Pentonville. Sonny should be willing to grant Spencer’s request as long as it’s not too outrageous.
At the Metro Court pool, Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) and Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) will fail when it comes to distracting themselves. There’ll be no escaping their fears about the trial outcome since the verdict is rapidly approaching.
Josslyn will end up sparring with shirtless Dex, so she’ll ask why she’d want to save him. Since Josslyn has already come through for Dex before, she’ll be done handing out free chances.
Dex will remain on edge over this jury tampering drama and whether he’ll be able to prove himself. It’s crucial for Dex to become more trustworthy in Sonny’s eyes since he’s actually working for Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) to take him down.
Dex will make a phone call and sound the alarm over something, but will his call be to Sonny or Michael? Either way, Dex will need to be careful in case Josslyn Jacks is in earshot.
At GH, Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) will prepare the drug necessary to bring Oz Haggerty (Max Faugno) out of his coma. There are serious risks here, but Portia will do everything in her power to save Trina.
Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) will take action and help Portia on this Oz mission. Unfortunately, there’ll be a hurdle when Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) arrives and insists she can’t allow their grand plan.
The good news is Jordan may have the wrong idea entirely and will eventually investigate elsewhere. The bad news is there are no guarantees when it comes to Max’s awakening and cognitive abilities.
Even death is a potential aftereffect, so Portia will be risking her career and freedom with some criminal behavior. We’ll pass along other GH updates as they come in.
