General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Tuesday, August 23, teases that Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) will get some Sicilian thunderbolt courage while Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) receives a surprising phone call. Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) and Nikolas Cassadine’s (Marcus Coloma) act will also crumble, so they’ll have to work harder at their happy marriage charade!
As the picnic gets underway, Chase will turn to Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) for assistance with something.
After Leo Falconeri (Easton Rocket Sweda) whips up a batch of the Sicilian thunderbolt beverage he learned about, Chase will wind up guzzling some.
That’ll give Chase the courage to profess his true feelings by midweek, so we’ll finally see some movement in his love story with Brook Lynn.
Speaking of love stories, Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) will hope to start a new chapter with Portia.
After Curtis officially pops the question, Portia will accept his offer of marriage along with that gorgeous ring.
Portia will eventually get a call about Trina, so that’ll catch her off guard.
This could have something to do with the genetic specialist appointment that Portia made regarding her daughter.
Then again, this could tie in with the picnic since Trina’s set to attend with Rory Cabrera (Michael Blake Kruse), who’ll take this opportunity to pull her closer.
Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) and Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) will grow closer as well, so GH fans can expect some cute moments as Drew impresses her with his grilling skills.
At the hospital, Marshall Ashford (Robert Gossett) will battle guilt over Tommy Ashford’s fate, but Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) will think she’s the one who should feel guilty.
However, there’s one thing Jordan and Marshall can agree on. Since their love for TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) unites them, Marshall and Jordan may agree to look to the future.
Willow Tait’s (Katelyn MacMullen) future is also on her mind since she’s facing a difficult decision. If Willow delays chemotherapy, she could put her life at risk.
Unfortunately, moving forward with treatment immediately could lead to birth defects or even a miscarriage.
Willow needs to lean on Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) right now, so she’s planning on confessing her cancer.
After Willow hints about something they can’t do this time, she’ll try to rip off the bandage and deliver this leukemia shocker.
Of course, Willow may not get the chance to spill everything since Olivia will enter with Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Viron Weaver) and push the gang to join the picnic.
That picnic will also bring conflict, especially once Ava and Nikolas are in attendance.
Olivia will push the two of them to clash elsewhere, but Nikolas and Ava will apparently choose to settle down instead.
While Ava and Nikolas try to fake some sweet moments together, Sonny will show up and cause a scene.
There’s a chance Sonny will fight with Drew, but it makes more sense for Michael to be the one he faces off with.
Sonny may grow tired of the same old resentment and threats from his son.
It looks like Sonny will invite Michael to bring it on, so the battle between them seems poised to heat up.
Finally, Olivia will be quite vocal when it comes to criticism of Sonny and Nina Reeves’ (Cynthia Watros) relationship.
It’s clear that Olivia doesn’t approve of Sonny’s new romance at all, so she should let him know.
General Hospital spoilers say Sonny will get fed up with all the complaints, so he’ll be hopping mad soon enough!
