General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) will drug Laura Collins’ (Genie Francis) drink, but a crisis of conscience will slam the brakes on Victor Cassadine’s (Charles Shaughnessy) plot.
GH fans know Valentin is furious over the situation he’s stuck in. Valentin hates being forced to do Victor’s bidding, but he has no choice since Victor is in control of Charlotte Cassadine (Amelia McLain).
Although Charlotte has adjusted to living away at boarding school, she doesn’t realize she’s basically Victor’s hostage and a pawn in his game.
Victor is restricting Valentin’s access to Charlotte, so he’s giving his son a strong motive to do what he’s told.
That’s why Valentin will be willing to drug Laura in the July 8 episode – at least at first.
Valentin will slip something into Laura’s beverage and prepare for the next phase of Victor’s plot.
Perhaps Victor will want to kidnap Laura once she’s in a drugged state, but it won’t get that far thanks to Valentin’s change of heart.
Valentin isn’t as ruthless as he used to be, so he’ll ultimately knock the glass out of Laura’s hand before she can drink it.
Laura won’t ingest the drug after all, but you can bet she’ll think Valentin is acting even shadier than usual.
This won’t do much to ease Laura’s mind when it comes to Valentin’s romance with Anna Devane (Finola Hughes)!
Once Victor gets updates on Valentin’s failure, he’ll fume over the setback.
However, it’ll at least lead Victor to a better understanding of Valentin and how far his loyalty goes.
During the week of July 11-15, Victor will move forward with an alternative scheme.
It looks like Victor will lure Laura out of Port Charles using her ill or injured mother.
Whether Victor does something to Lesley Webber (Denise Alexander) or just makes it seem like she’s in trouble, Laura will get tricked and seems poised to rush to her mom’s side.
That could give Victor the opportunity to make some bold moves in Mayor Collins’ absence and avoid deportation as well.
General Hospital spoilers say Laura will get tangled up in a twisted web of deception, but at least she’ll avoid getting drugged by Valentin!
