General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Wednesday, November 9, reveals that Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) faced a hook showdown before Esme Prince (Avery Pohl) hid from Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst). Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) also faced some worsening symptoms, so here’s how all the action went down.
At GH, Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) insisted that the DNA results weren’t a match and that Mac Scorpio (John J. York) wasn’t his father. Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) wanted to set the test results for herself, but Mac didn’t see the need in dragging things out and felt they knew the truth now.
Cody suggested maybe they could still be buddies and meet up for drinks, so Mac agreed as long as Cody didn’t feel pressured into anything. Felicia was rather cold to Cody privately and acted like he got his wish.
At one point, Britt gripped her neck in pain, so Cody suggested muscle relaxers and brought her some coffee to thank her for all her support. Britt seemed to have trouble swallowing, so Cody jokingly pointed out it wasn’t poison.
That led to Britt acting like Cody was trying to distract her from his real feelings on the Mac situation, but it was really Britt’s way of distracting Cody instead.
Cody ultimately insisted Leopold Taub (Charles Lucia) was his father and that was that, but he secretly took another look at the DNA test results. GH viewers could see that Mac was indeed a match and that Cody was lying.
Meanwhile, Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) angrily confronted TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) and Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen), so a stunned Willow realized Michael thought she was cheating.
Willow spoke with Michael alone and confessed that she’d actually been hiding her leukemia diagnosis. Michael assumed Willow had been dealing with chemo alone, but she revealed that she’d decided to delay treatment until she was out of her first trimester for the baby’s sake.
Although Michael was upset, he assured Willow that this was always her choice and would’ve been her choice even if she’d told him back then. Michael found out Willow was now in stage 4 since her decision had come at a cost.
Willow couldn’t handle losing another baby and had just wanted to enjoy their time with Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Viron Weaver) before things got crazy – especially since she might not have much time left.
As for Willow’s treatment, she explained that she would start chemo right away and added that Terry Randolph (Cassandra James) also recommended a bone marrow transplant.
Over with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), he talked to TJ about Nina Reeves’ (Cynthia Watros) cheating suspicions, but TJ acted like Nina was a troublemaker and pushed Sonny to trust him.
In the banged-up prison transport van, Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) regained consciousness and made sure the legit driver in the passenger side was still alive. Dex urged the guy to stay unconscious and found Anna Devane (Finola Hughes), who was also out cold with a head wound.
Fortunately, the gash was shallow, so Dex managed to awaken Anna and avoided taking her to the hospital.
Anna met up with Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) for the next phase of their getaway mission, but she remained worried since Heather Webber (Alley Mills) escaped due to the accident. Although Anna wanted to find Heather, Valentin convinced her they had to press on.
At the hospital, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) spoke to Sonny about Anna before getting called to the crash site with Mac. Dante notified the highway patrol and sent out all the appropriate alerts, especially since Heather was dangerous.
Afterward, Dante called Sonny with updates on the crash. Although Dante didn’t know exactly what happened, he intended to figure it out.
Back with Dex, he was bleeding badly from his abdomen as he made his way through a wooded area.
At Elizabeth Baldwin’s (Rebecca Herbst) place, she told Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) that she knew for sure the woman on the stairs was Reiko Finn (Mele Ihara). Finn reeled over the news that Reiko cheated with Jeff Webber (William Moses) and tried to process all this.
Liz let Finn know she was so sorry, so Finn touched her face tenderly and admitted he was sorry, too. Once Finn walked out, Liz called Terry since she needed someone to talk to.
Since Terry didn’t pick up, Elizabeth thought back to Nikolas comforting her and decided to call him next, but he didn’t answer.
That’s because Nikolas was busy dealing with total chaos at Wyndemere! Someone wearing a hood snuck up behind Nikolas, who managed to fight her off and knocked a hook out of her hands.
Nikolas landed on the floor following the struggle, but he eventually got up and used a handkerchief to pick up the stray hook. Once Nikolas realized it was from the nearby boathouse, he said Esme should’ve killed him when she had the chance.
Nikolas got on the phone and warned the person on the other end not to let anyone off the island. After calling Esme a “hook-wielding psychopath,” he insisted he wouldn’t let her get away.
However, Esme was already on the pier when Elizabeth appeared, so she ducked behind something and hid from her.
In Finn’s office, he sat on the floor and cried while looking at a picture of himself with Reiko.
