Tonight’s The Bachelor episode begins with the date card, “into the falls our journey goes, only one will come out with a rose.” And this one is for Genevieve and Shanae, and all the girls are hoping that Genevieve is not collateral damage in this. On the date, the three are sitting near the water drinking champagne. Clayton takes Genevieve for a walk, she tells him that the week has been tough, especially finding out about the two on one. The house has been awkward and doesn’t feel right. Being vulnerable is not easy for her, but she is trying and her feelings are growing every day.

Clayton then sits with Shanae and tells her that they have a good connection but obviously there has been some tension. Last they talked, she apologized to the group and he wants to know how things are going. She says things are good, but it is hard to trust Genevieve. Last night she heard her say that she wanted to pack her bags and go home so she was surprised to see her here.

That is the thing, she is two faced and it is a red flag, she can’t trust her. She feels like she is acting, and its sad. She starts crying and says being single for five years, it is hard to get close to him. He leans in to kiss her, she feels secure and confident, and she sees the fantasy suite coming up. In fact, she says getting the rose on this date is going to be better than sex.

Clayton has the rose in his hands, he asks Genevieve if she is an actress and if she is lying to him. If he would look over at Shanae, she is smirking. Genevieve asks him why he is asking. He gets up and walks away. Clayton comes back, he tells Shanae that he just can’t find it in his heart to give her the rose, he gives it to Genevieve and walks off with her. He kisses Genevieve and thanks her for giving them a chance.

Back at the hotel, the girls see Shanae’s bag be taken away and they start crying and pop open champagne to celebrate Shanae going home. One of them say, “ding dong the shrimp is dead.” Meanwhile, Shanae is sick and disgusted.

Time for the rose ceremony and Clayton can see that the overall mood with the women is so much better now that Shanae is gone. He is really happy and can see that everyone can now breathe. Clayton spends time with all the women individually, nobody gets missed without the drama.

Time to give out the roses, the first one goes to Sarah, then Serene, Susie, Teddi, Eliza and Mara. Hunter and Marlena are sent home. Clayton tells the women who are left that he had a lot of fun in Toronto, now they are leaving, crossing the Atlantic ocean, to Hvar, Croatia.

Clayton is thrilled to be able to experience the this secluded part of Croatia. It is a critical week and he hopes they can focus on the connections they have. He has tough decisions to make, who to push forward with and spend time with in Croatia. All the women are happy to be there but also nervous because it is getting closer to the end.

The women are outside having a drink when Clayton walks up, he tells them that he has a one on one that is going to start right now. He chooses to take Teddi on the date with him. Mara is disappointed, week after week, she doesn’t get her one on one. All of a sudden, the sky breaks loose, it starts thundering and raining.

Clayton and Teddi makes wishes at a fountain and walk around the sit.

Clayton and Teddi have a great day, at dinner he thanks her for being patient. She tells him that she has something important to talk to him about. She is a virgin, her mom had a baby at a young age and there was a lot of pressure on her to wait. She doesn’t want to necessarily wait until marriage, but she wants to wait for love. She admits that she has never been in love. Clayton thanks her for talking to him. But, it carries a lot of weight what she told him, and he wants to make sure that she is the one, he doesn’t want to hurt her. He gives her the date rose and leans in for a kiss. He really believes that the two of them could be all in. He gave her the first impression rose and there is a reason for it.

At the hotel a date card arrives, this one is for Serene, Rachel, Susie, Gaby, Eliza, Genevieve, Mara, “it’s an honor to fall in love with you.” On the date, the women got on a quest and have to get dressed up in outfits, ready for battle. Next, they have a knight’s feast; pigs liver, pigs brain, fish eyes and more. They have to dig in. Next, they have to kneel down in from of Clayton, tell him what he means to them, why they are on this journey and what they are fighting for. Mara’s speech was amazing, she truly killed it compared to the other women. Shockingly, Serene got knighted the queen and got to win Clayton’s heart.

Time for the group cocktail party, Clayton had a blast with the women. Mara finally gets some time with Clayton, the last time she tried, she was interrupted after three minutes. She tells him that it is discouraging that she got the last rose at the rose ceremony. She goes on the say that his choosing to have two one on ones with other women and not even having one with her, is upsetting. Then she tells him that some of the women are young and say that they can’t even imagine being engaged. Mara is there for Clayton, there is no malice in her words. Clayton gives the group date rose to Rachel.

Later that night, there is a note slipped under Clayton’s door, he looks outside and there is nobody there. The note tells him to meet the person at the clock tower, and it is not signed. Clayton arrives and it is Susie he is surprised and happy. She is worried because she didn’t have time with him and she wanted to do that, and open up to him. She tells him that even though there is so much more to go, so much more to do, she feels like she is falling in love with him. This is the happiest Clayton has been on this journey.

Clayton meets with Jesse and tells him that he is worried falling for someone who is not there for the right reasons, after his conversation with Mara.

Clayton speaks to Sarah, he tells her that he heard she is not ready to get engaged and it worries him because home towns are right around the corner. Sarah says that is the opposite of what she has said, and she wants him to know that she has been nothing but honest with him. Sarah is really upset, he tells her that he is just afraid of giving and getting nothing in return. He tells her that he needs to excuse himself for a moment. In the end, Clayton doesn’t believe Mara, he tells Sarah that he believes she is there for the right reasons and gives her a rose. This whole scenario only made their relationship stronger.

THE END!
