The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers tease that we should go ahead and start thinking about Jacqueline MacInnes Wood’s (Steffy Forrester) upcoming maternity leave. Will Sheila Carter’s (Kimberlin Brown) scheming cause Steffy’s exit?
Wood is expecting her third child, so her next maternity leave will indeed be here before you know it.
Of course, there are many ways the show could ultimately handle that, so let’s discuss some interesting options.
With Wood’s first pregnancy, Steffy ended up going to Paris for a while.
However, the show didn’t have a real exit for Steffy when it came to her second pregnancy.
They simply shot some extra scenes in advance and spaced them out so that Wood’s absence wasn’t all that noticeable.
Steffy still took a little trip up the coast with John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) and Kelly Spencer (Avalon and Collette Gray), but that was tacked on as an explanation toward the end.
That means B&B could choose either route this time around.
They might offer the same non-exit strategy or they could indeed send Steffy off canvas for a bit.
There’s the potential to make Steffy’s absence related to the story, especially with mischievous Sheila to create chaos.
After Sheila finishes taking Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) down, will Steffy become her target once again?
That’s certainly a risk since Brooke isn’t the only person standing in the way of a bond with Finn and Hayes Forrester Finnegan (Piper Harriot).
Just because Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen) pushed for one nice Christmas Eve doesn’t mean Steffy has embraced Sheila as part of the family.
Sheila may be in for a rude awakening if she thinks Steffy is ever truly going to trust her.
Although Sheila vowed to win Steffy over, it’s kind of tough to get past the whole “you shot my mom” thing!
In other words, Sheila may face more of a challenge than she thought and once again focus on Steffy as her main enemy.
In that case, it’s easy to imagine Sheila kidnapping Steffy as part of a plan to get rid of her. Sheila could lock Steffy up and show how devious she can really be.
Steffy could even land in a coma if B&B writers want to put the character on ice while Wood is out on maternity leave.
It just seems like the show could use this as an opportunity for major drama if they choose to.
