The Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers: Monday, January 31 Recap – Sheila Escapes to Avoid Ridge – Grace’s Shocking Carter Move

The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Monday, January 31, reveals that Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) escaped to avoid Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) while Grace Buckingham (Cassandra Creech) made a shocking move against Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor). Here’s how Monday’s dramatic B&B episode played out.

At the cliff house, Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri) said he thought really hard and remembered more – that Santa was actually Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan).

Douglas explained the stuffed bunny story again and insisted Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) was kissing Deacon through the window.

After Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) came in and asked what was going on, Thomas told Douglas that it was always good to be truthful.

Thomas hugged Douglas before sending him off to watch the end of Kelly Spencer’s (Avalon and Collette Gray) movie with her.

Thomas then told Steffy that Douglas wasn’t just talking about the song – and he indeed meant Grandma, not Mommy.

Steffy assumed Ridge was Santa, but Thomas pointed out that it happened on New Year’s Eve.

When Steffy realized Ridge was out of town, she asked who Brooke was kissing. Thomas admitted it was Deacon and left Steffy floored.

At the cabin, Brooke continued to beat herself up over not knowing what triggered her reckless behavior.

Hope thought maybe Brooke was trying too hard, so Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) backed Hope up on that. Liam suggested Brooke might have to be satisfied with never knowing the answer.

Brooke was grateful over Deacon’s promise to keep quiet, but she still worried Douglas might spill.

If Steffy, Thomas and Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen) ever found out the truth, Brooke felt that would be the end of her relationship with Ridge.

At Il Giardino, Sheila kept trying to find out what else happened on New Year’s Eve.

Deacon argued that if anything else did happen, Sheila would be the last to know!

When Ridge arrived, Deacon panicked at the thought of being seen with Sheila.

After Sheila guessed Ridge found out about Deacon’s “happy hour” with Brooke, she thought maybe Ridge was there to smash Deacon’s face.

Sheila escaped out the back before Ridge sauntered over and taunted Deacon over his job at the bar.

Ridge thought that’s where Deacon belonged – not at Ridge’s house or around Brooke, Hope and the kids.

Since Ridge didn’t trust Deacon, he thought Hope’s dad must be working some angle.

Ridge said he told Hope not to have faith in Deacon, but she made her choice.

Ridge told Deacon he was a curse and a bad guy. He argued that bad things happened to Brooke when Deacon was around, so he wanted Deacon to stay away from his wife.

Deacon countered that Ridge was all worked up for nothing and reminded him it was a free country.

Deacon wanted to live close to his daughter, but Ridge felt like Deacon was obsessed with Brooke and was only thinking of himself.

After Ridge said Deacon was playing out of his league, he warned that Brooke wouldn’t revisit the biggest mistake of her life.

Ridge added that Brooke wanted nothing to do with Deacon, who had a flashback of New Year’s Eve and asked if Ridge was sure about that.

Meanwhile, Sheila gave herself a pat on the back for getting Brooke to drink again, which was only the first step of Brooke’s world coming down.

“Karma really is a bitch, Brooke. Just like you,” Sheila declared.

At Forrester Creations, Grace watched Carter and Paris Buckingham (Diamond White) kissing from the doorway of the design office.

After grabbing her purse and leaving, Grace looked pensive in the hallway.

As for Carter, he pulled away from his kiss with Paris and warned that they were playing with fire.

Carter thought they should have more control since anyone could’ve walked in – including Paris’ mom, who clearly wanted her to be with Zende Forrester Dominguez (Delon de Metz).

Paris knew it was risky, but she couldn’t stop thinking about Carter. She reminded Carter that she wasn’t dating Zende exclusively, but Carter countered that Zende was still in love with Paris.

Carter didn’t want to be the guy who moved in on his friend’s girl, especially after what happened with Quinn Forrester (Rena Sofer).

Although Carter admitted he could lose himself in every way with Paris, he also didn’t want to get her on the Forresters’ bad side or upset Grace.

Paris mentioned their connection, but Carter insisted that it had to stay between them.

After Paris left for a meeting with Katie Logan (Heather Tom), Grace returned to speak with Carter. She couldn’t be more pleased with Paris’ life, including her amazing and pure relationship with Zende.

Grace noted that men like Zende don’t come along every day, so Carter acknowledged that Zende was a great guy.

Paris’ mom thought they were in agreement then. Grace said Carter seemed to want the best for Paris, so Carter said absolutely – that Paris deserved all the best things in life.

Grace quickly agreed about Paris’ deserving the best. “That Zende, not you,” Grace said.

The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say Grace will continue to shake things up for Paris and Carter, so stay tuned.
