The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Tuesday, January 11, reveals that Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) decided to lay down the law with Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen) and Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood). Dr. Grace Buckingham (Cassandra Creech) also grilled secretive Paris Buckingham (Diamond White), so let’s talk about how Tuesday’s B&B episode went down.
At the cliff house, Steffy served up Taylor’s favorite banana cream pie and felt confident Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) would join them since he got an invite, too. Steffy didn’t think Ridge needed much enticing since it was obvious something was still going on between her parents.
Hope arrived looking for Douglas Forrester’s (Henry Joseph Samiri) football, though Steffy quickly suspected Hope had ulterior motives for this visit. Hope made it clear that Ridge probably wasn’t coming since Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) needed her husband right now.
Steffy wondered what was going on with Brooke, but Hope didn’t get into the details. Hope acknowledged the stress that Brooke and Ridge had been working through, but she wanted to make certain they were given the space they needed to do that. Hope also wanted to make sure Taylor didn’t use this as an opportunity.
After Taylor asked what Hope was implying, Steffy accused Hope of coming there just to confront her mom. Hope denied that, but she felt this needed to be said. She brought up Taylor’s feelings for Ridge and the family she had with him.
Steffy piped up that they still had a family, but Hope felt that Taylor blamed Brooke for stealing that from her in the past. Hope was glad to hear Taylor was back in town, but she wanted both Steffy and her mom to remember Ridge was no longer married to Taylor.
Hope insisted Ridge was married to Brooke, but Steffy argued that it was Ridge’s life and decision. After Hope argued that Ridge already made his choice, talk turned to Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) and the stress of that whole situation.
Steffy wasn’t happy about Deacon being welcomed with open arms despite all the pain and shame of the past. She said Brooke was caught up in a disgusting, messy scandal and was now welcoming Deacon back into her life.
Steffy felt like Ridge’s feelings weren’t being taken into consideration, but the discussion soon shifted back to Ridge’s marriage. Although Ridge was married to Brooke right now, Steffy thought that whatever he decided to do in the long run would be up to him, not Hope or Brooke.
Hope stood her ground since she wanted Taylor and Steffy to respect the boundaries of her mother’s marriage. She wanted to make sure that was understood by both of them and asked if that was clear. Steffy scoffed and was clearly annoyed over Hope coming in there trying to make demands of them.
At home, Brooke kept dwelling on her relapse and flashing back to her hot night with Deacon. Ridge wanted Brooke to stop beating herself up and felt they could deal with whatever life threw at them.
Brooke didn’t like Hope feeling responsible for what happened and still couldn’t understand what drove her to drink. Ridge suggested they would identify the trigger eventually and deal with it. He felt it’d be another victory to make their family stronger, so Brooke cried as she accepted Ridge’s comforting hug.
At Forrester Creations, Zende Forrester (Delon de Metz) wondered if he was being paranoid about another guy being in the picture for Paris. However, he was protective of Paris and wanted to know this man’s name if there was one.
Zende felt he should find out what this other guy’s intentions were and refused to give up on a future with Paris without a fight. He thanked Carter for being such a good friend to both of them and continued to wonder who this other man could be.
In the main office, Grace talked about what a great guy Zende was. Grace was pleased to see that Zende was so sweet and charming. She was happy about Paris dating such a fine young man with a good heart, especially since his family had embraced Paris.
Zende was a winner in Grace’s book – and she assumed he was one in Paris’ book, too. Paris acted a little uncomfortable, so Grace said she could be misreading things. She wondered if something was going on that she should know about.
Paris changed the subject to Grace’s job offer at University Hospital and thought it would be so fun having her mom in LA. Grace ultimately steered the conversation back to Zende, though she promised she wasn’t trying to play matchmaker. She just didn’t want Paris to make the same mistake she did and felt she should choose her significant other carefully.
Grace mentioned how important it was to find the right foundation to build a life and future on. She pointed out Zende could be the man to provide that, but Paris didn’t seem as certain.
