Tonight’s episode begins with Marielle Torres coming into emergency, she fainted on a plane. Audrey is examining her, says she needs a chest x-ray because of her breathing. Meanwhile, Morgan is examining a woman who has severe hemorrhoids and is beyond something she can cure herself. Asher tells Alex and Audrey that he is only going to date guys who check all the boxes. They are looking at Marielle’s x-ray and it looks like cancer.
Alex gives her the news; tells her they have to do a biopsy to be sure. She tells her boyfriend Isaac, that her insurance didn’t lapse, she lost it because she is undocumented. She says she was going to tell him, her documents just got rejected and she freaked out. It was all because of a weed DUI that she was falsely accused of. She was trying to get it expunged. He is upset that she didn’t tell him, she starts coughing and blood comes up, Asher rushes her to the OR.
Lea meets Shaun at the café, he asks her why she needed to boost herself in the morning, is it because they haven’t had sex in nine days. She says she just woke up and had a few minutes, she really didn’t think about it. He says if they were off course, she should have rung the cowbell.
Shaun goes to see Morgan’s patient; he tells her that the hemorrhoids have to be surgically removed. The wounds take a long time to heal and she can’t have sex for six to eight weeks. Shaun leaves the room and so does Jordan, and when they do, they return to fund out they have a runner. Shaun calls a code green. They find her in the bathroom. Jordan goes to speak to her, she has a date, she is 45 years old and she has never had sex. She feels so ashamed.
Jordan tells her to talk about her date. His name is Victor, she has known him for a long time, and he is visiting the city for two days. She asked him out and he said he would be honored. She feels like if she doesn’t do it now, it may never happen. So she is not having the surgery until she has sex with Victor.
Shaun sits down with Aaron and tells him that he and Lea have not had sex for nine days. Aaron tries to give him some advice but keeps getting interrupted by hospital staff who bring their problems to Aaron.
During surgery, Audrey discovers that Marielle does not have cancer, it is a fungus released into her bloodstream during surgery. Once she is working, Audrey tells her they are going to treat her with an anti-fungal. She asks about Isaac, but he hasn’t been back.
Jordan is speaking to Shaun and says what if they let her patient go home one night to Victor. Morgan is there and she talks about her first time, during the senior prom. Jordan says they could bring Victor there, and if there is a rupture, what better place to be.
Aaron goes to see Marcus and finds out that he is going by appointment only. Aaron says they need a softball team it will be good for morale. He says fine, and next time make an appointment.
Jordan sets the mood for her patient, Renna, awaiting Victor to visit her. Meanwhile, Shaun is setting the mood at home for Lea. She walks in and he tells her there will be no brakes this evening, only accelerators. He starts with wine, then a massage. He offers her chocolate, she says yes and then goes to get it, she falls asleep, he eats the chocolate alone.
Asher with Marielle, she is looking at photos on her computer of her last trip. Asher says he can call Isaac again, she tells him not to bother, if he doesn’t see how scary this is then forget it. Asher talks to her about his first kiss, he says he learned that he should be open, tell their families. His father lost it, his home life imploded. He lost his family and the guy who he shared his first kiss with. He misses him. All of a sudden, Marielle starts having a lot of pain, her lung has collapsed. It’s also attacking both her kidneys.
Victor shows up at the hospital, he asks Jordan where the gift shop is, he doesn’t want to show up empty-handed. Shaun walks up and gives him the half-eaten box of chocolates, he says they were good. Victor goes into the room, Jordan tells him that she will be guarding the door and Shaun tells them not to be too loud.
Isaac shows up, Marielle apologizes to him. He promises her that he won’t freak out again, he will step up for her. The whole hands and they both say you and me.
Shaun returns to Renna’s room to find Victor on top of her, but he is stuck. Jordan tells her to relax her pelvic walls and everything will be ok. They leave them alone.
Lea walks into the change room and rings the cowbell, she tells him that she owes him an apology. She tells him that her parents had a sex schedule and she doesn’t want one. He reminds her that they have been married for forty years and still like to touch each other.
Renna’s surgery was a success, Victor comes into the room and brings her flowers and they plan to see each other again when he is in town next month.
Aaron gets his softball team and Shaun gets his schedule.
At home, Shaun and Lea are in bed, she tells him that it is a little weird. He tells her about Renna and Victor getting stuck when they had sex and they both start laughing.
