The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) may blackmail Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) to shut down his Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) romance. Will Adam use the Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) evidence after all?
Y&R fans know Adam recently had an epiphany and determined that he should seek a more productive path. Adam backed off his decision to seek revenge on Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), which would’ve hurt Nick, too.
Instead, Adam is focusing on his new co-CEO job at Jabot and trying to move forward. Nick has been surprised by Adam’s support lately, but their relationship seems poised to head downhill quickly.
That’s because fall spoilers point to Sally and Nick getting too close for comfort. There are also hints about Adam going ballistic as Nick and Sally potentially move into romantic territory.
It seems likely Adam’s vengeful desires will reignite – and that could mean bad news for Nick! Adam scored access to the official Ashland police report and knows a cover-up went down. Sally may not be willing to publish the story at Newman Media, but plenty of other outlets would jump at the chance.
Now that Talia Morgan’s (Natalie Morales) series on Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) has been killed, she could use another hot scandal. Since Talia originally came to town for an Ashland story, Adam could potentially give her a juicy one.
Of course, Adam might try blackmailing Nick first and order him to stay away from Sally – at least when it comes to anything beyond their professional relationship. Adam might even try to force Nick out of Newman Enterprises to get him out of Sally’s orbit.
The Young and the Restless spoilers suggest Adam’s about to go off the rails, so we’ll see shades of the old Adam once again. Nick and Sally’s steamy connection could unleash Adam’s wild side, so blackmailing Nick to steer clear of her is certainly an option.
