The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Devon Hamilton (Bryton James), Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) and Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) could be gearing up for a love triangle. Two romantic paths forward could be emerging for Dominic Newman-Abbott-Winters-Chancellor’s (Rainn and River) bio dad, so let’s talk about this potential storyline.
Y&R fans know Abby and Devon got caught cheating, but part of Devon doesn’t regret crossing that line with her.
Devon suggested it felt right in the moment – and he nearly kissed Abby again as they talked about their mutual betrayal.
It’s clear that Abby and Devon’s hookup was about more than just fleeting passion. There’s a deep bond between them that’s only grown stronger since Dominic’s birth.
Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) is adamant about divorcing Abby, so she may become more open to the idea of dating Devon.
Likewise, Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) is done with Devon and is focusing on her family in Virginia, so Abby will become a more appealing option for him, too.
However, we certainly can’t count Elena out when it comes to Devon’s future romantic possibilities.
Y&R has been careful to keep Elena and Devon’s friendship going strong, so they still have a nice bond as well.
Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) is inevitably going to let Elena down again, so Devon will want to pick up the pieces when that happens.
It seems likely Nate’s job and connection to Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) are going to become big problems in his relationship with Elena.
Whether Nate cheats with Victoria or finds another way to show his true colors again, he may blow his second chance.
If that happens, Elena is going to need another love interest.
It makes sense that the show might toy with putting Elena and Devon back together.
Perhaps Abby, Devon and Elena are all being positioned for a steamy love triangle.
Devon may have to choose between Elena and Abby in the months to come, so it’ll be interesting to see what’s in store.
