The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) landed a job with the new Marchetti. Even though it was Kyle Abbott’s (Michael Mealor) idea, Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) seemed happy to celebrate with Diane. Could Diane’s next conquest be to get Summer to turn against Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford)?
Kyle Abbott’s Job Offer
Y&R spoilers reveal that Kyle wasn’t going to bring Diane on at Jabot or the new Marchetti.
However, Kyle changed his mind, especially as he realized that it would be next to impossible for Diane to get a job in Genoa City.
Although Diane is slowly starting to change people’s minds about her, it’s a slow process.
Kyle mentioned Diane looking for a job to Summer. Immediately, Summer knew that Kyle was considering hiring Diane.
That’s exactly what happened and with Summer standing united with Kyle, Diane was offered a position in the PR department of the new Marchetti.
Y&R Spoilers: Phyllis Summers’ Truce
While Kyle and Summer were offering Diane a job, Phyllis was venting to Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) about her fake truce.
Phyllis told Amanda that she only did it because Summer begged her, and she would do anything for her daughter.
Phyllis also agreed to the truce to win back Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman).
Phyllis’ plan failed though, and Jack seems even more furious with his former flame.
Watching Diane Jenkins Toast with ‘Skyle’
The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that Diane offered to take Kyle, Summer, and Jack out to celebrate her new job.
Everyone agreed and in an interesting scene, it wasn’t Kyle urging Summer to attend. This time, Summer excitedly told Kyle a celebration sounded like a good idea.
As Jack, Diane, Summer, and Kyle shared a toast, Phyllis watched in horror from afar. Phyllis couldn’t stand to see them all together looking so happy.
What probably infuriated Phyllis the most wasn’t seeing Diane with Jack. It was seeing that Summer was happily joining Diane in the toast.
The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Switching Sides
Summer did try to do damage control by taking Phyllis away from the table. While Summer tried to explain to Phyllis, accusations were brought up.
Phyllis actually assumed that the job Summer offered her in Milan is the same one that Diane has now.
Of course, Summer denied the allegation and tried to calm her mother down.
While Phyllis did embrace Summer, she couldn’t stop firing darts at Diane from across the room.
It is teased that during the week of July 4, Phyllis won’t be able to control her anger. Phyllis explodes, which will only make Diane look even better than before.
The way Phyllis is going, Diane will easily be able to convince Summer that she’s the saner woman.
This could cause Summer to turn against her own mother, but will there be catastrophic consequences?
