The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that we have to ask: Is a Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) reunion inevitable? Will Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) accurately predict Sally Spectra’s (Courtney Hope) heartbreak?
On the November 17 episode, Adam was in a foul mood and really let Nick’s night out with Sally set him off.
That led to Adam insisting Nick would never love Sally.
Adam argued that Sharon was the only woman that Nick would ever truly love and called Sally his latest substitute.
Of course, Adam may or may not believe that. It’s obvious that Adam wanted to hurt Nick and plant doubts in Sally’s head about any kind of future they might have.
Nick certainly has feelings for Sally, but is there any truth to what Adam said? It seems extreme to declare that Sharon is the only woman Nick would ever love.
That’s surely an exaggeration since love has so many types and levels.
Even so, Nick arguably reached a depth in his love for Sharon that is perhaps unparalleled.
If Nick were in some dangerous situation where he could only save Sharon or Sally, he would probably save Sharon.
That’s the mother of Nick’s children and someone he’ll forever have a close bond with.
We also know that Nick has been known to cheat in the past – not to mention “Shick” has a way of always coming back around.
It’s interesting that Y&R writers had Adam use this approach to attack Nick’s relationship with Sally.
They could’ve had Adam drag Nick in other ways, so it might be significant that they took the “Sharon is the only woman he’ll ever love” route.
Could that be a hint about the show putting Sharon and Nick back together down the road?
It’s not something that’s going to happen overnight, but it might be an inevitable reunion when the time is right.
For now, Sharon seems poised to grow closer to Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) and maybe even make a real go of a new romantic relationship.
Still, both Sharon and Nick could get pulled into a new chapter with each other at some point.
Adam might be proven somewhat right if Nick and Sharon get drawn together once again.
