The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) may reject Nate Hastings’ (Sean Dominic) big idea. Will Victoria stun Newman Media’s new CEO by shutting down Elena Dawson’s (Brytni Sarpy) podcast?
Y&R fans know Nate complained constantly at Chancellor-Winters, where Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) rejected many of his suggestions.
Of course, Nate’s ideas were often impulsive, expensive and not very well thought out, so Devon could anticipate his cousin’s mistakes before he made them.
However, Victoria likes the fact that Nate is a risk-taker and even suggested he should make a list of all his dream projects.
Nate was thrilled when Victoria encouraged him to think big and insisted money was no object.
Things are rolling along nicely when it comes to this working relationship, so we have to consider when a snag will hit.
The first one could potentially come into play because of Elena’s podcast.
Nate previously got Elena out of her contract at Newman Media so she could do a podcast for Chancellor-Winters.
Now that Nate is working at Newman Media, he’s encouraging Elena to wiggle out of that commitment and come to work with him instead.
Although Nate has a certain level of autonomy in his new position, Victoria still has the final say on anything and everything.
Victoria has also warned that she won’t sugarcoat when she disagrees with Nate – and she could easily disagree with him on this messy podcast situation.
From where Victoria is standing, it may be a waste of time and money trying to get Elena out of yet another contract if she’s signed one.
Victoria may also point out it’d mean poking the bear when it comes to Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) and Lily Winters (Christel Khalil).
After everything that happened with Victoria and Nate’s almost takeover, is it really a good idea to stir up more trouble over a podcast?
Victoria may even get honest and insist Elena’s podcast won’t really add much value to their brand or gain them very many listeners.
This would be a great opportunity for Victoria to basically shut down Nate’s idea – or at least strongly advise against it.
Nate may have to backtrack with Elena on this podcast proposal and his offer to turn his business trip into a romantic getaway as well.
Victoria could act like they’ll be far too busy in Los Angeles and suggest Elena would just get bored at the hotel.
That’d bring another chance for Nate to face rejection – though something tells us Victoria will be able to manipulate Nate into thinking she’s always right!
Unlike Devon, Nate truly admires and respects Victoria.
There seems to be a mutual crush going on, so that’ll no doubt affect Nate’s response to Victoria’s criticism as this story heats up.
