The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) may get a surprising new man if flying Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) sparks lead to trouble. Will Nate betray Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) with Victoria or at least turn to Victoria after a split?
There was a time when Y&R seemed to be on the verge of pairing Nate and Victoria up, but that plan ultimately fizzled.
Perhaps the writers should bring it back now that Victoria is single, especially since she’s got a lot in common with Nate.
Of course, Nate’s having some relationship issues with Elena at the moment.
It’s clear that Nate can’t see eye to eye with Elena on the topic of Imani Benedict’s (Leigh-Ann Rose) manipulation.
Elena is right about Imani stroking Nate’s ego and telling him what he wants to hear. Imani doesn’t seem like a worthy long-term love interest if that’s the way they’re going to play this.
Victoria is someone who genuinely cares about Nate and respects him.
Nate surely wouldn’t have to worry about Victoria doing something like faking a canceled meeting just to steal time alone together.
Victoria is a more straightforward gal when it comes to what she wants in a romance.
The fact that Victoria and Nate already have a friendship also brings trust to the table, which is incredibly important right now.
Victoria trusted Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) and got burned badly. Even with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson), Victoria had to watch him bail on his family and try to find himself.
Billy may be on a better path now, but he’s probably on the verge of siding with Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) on this whole Johnny Abbott (last played by Holden and Ryan Hare) situation.
That could give Victoria another reason to look elsewhere for support.
The August 16 episode brought a nice chat between Victoria and Nate in the park as they bonded over complicated family drama.
Victoria can understand the difficulties of working with relatives, so that’s something else to connect over.
Nate can relate to Victoria’s rage over Ashland since he got duped, too.
We’re talking about Ashland’s best man and someone who got roped into offering his medical opinion.
It’s easy to see how all the puzzle pieces could fit for a Victoria and Nate romantic match.
Could Nate cheat with Victoria or just turn to her following a breakup with Elena?
Since the show is apparently taking Victoria and Nate’s chemistry for a test spin, this pairing is an option worth keeping in mind.
