The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for the week of October 17-21 teases Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will some face love life backlash while Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) spills a secret. Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) will also settle on a new strategy, so here’s what Y&R fans can expect.
For starters, Sally will urge Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) to back off following the rooftop fiasco.
Adam will have a nightmare about Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) stealing Sally away to protect her, so he’ll wake up in even more pain than before.
After Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) sees just how close Nick and Sally have gotten, she’ll grow concerned.
Sally will face backlash for getting involved with Nick so soon after Adam and will hear Summer’s protective warning regarding her dad.
Despite ruining their Chancellor-Winters takeover plan, Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) will get good news from Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle).
Chancellor-Winters’ loss will be Newman’s gain according to Victoria, who’ll plan to give Nate a shiny new position.
Unfortunately, Sally’s job could be in danger. Nate may become a replacement for Sally, so we’ll see if he takes the top spot at Newman Media down the road.
Other Y&R spoilers say Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) will make a Genoa City comeback, so it’ll be nice to see her in person and not on a video call this time.
While Jill deals with the crisis at Chancellor-Winters, Adam and Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) will support Connor Newman (Judah Mackey).
Things can get heated between Chelsea and Adam sometimes, but they’ll focus on their son and let the hostility fall away for now.
Since Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) is in the best position to score intel from Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John), she’ll get another push to manipulate him.
Of course, Phyllis and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will be the ones doing the pushing!
Diane will be all over the place emotionally since she’ll lie to Jack about Tucker and then change her side of the story.
We’ll eventually see Diane confess her Tucker link, but she’ll try to do damage control once she spills.
Diane will also have to contend with a character named Jeremy Stark (James Hyde), who’s another LA connection.
There’ll be a lot going on for Diane, but she’ll be determined to salvage her relationships with Jack, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Harrison Abbott (Kellen Enriquez).
At Crimson Lights, Christine Williams (Lauralee Bell) will have some optimistic updates for Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks).
There’ll be an expectant mother who’s considering Mariah and Tessa as adoptive parents for her baby, but she’ll want to get to know them first.
Over with Phyllis, she’ll divulge a secret to Lauren Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman).
That could mean bringing Lauren in the loop on some Diane drama, but Lauren is also someone Phyllis confides in when love is involved.
Phyllis might have some things to get off her chest regarding Jack and how much she’s still pining for him.
Finally, Kyle and Summer will have a blast in Costa Rica, but this getaway should be the calm before the storm they’ll face back in GC!
