Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Thursday, November 2, reveals that Holly Jonas (Ashley Puzemis) blurted out something about never getting the man of her dreams if EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) married Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker).
Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) admitted he overheard Tate Black (Jamie Martin Mann) talking about some older guy that Holly was into.
Holly chickened out of confessing her feelings to Johnny and claimed she had a crush on EJ instead. However, Holly acted like she knew it was silly and that she was already over it by now.
At Chad DiMera’s (Billy Flynn) place, he explained to EJ why it wasn’t a good idea for Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) to come to the wedding and agreed to get ordained online in a hurry.
In the town square on Thursday’s Days episode, Nicole and Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) had an honest conversation about where things stood. Eric had heard about the wedding and was happy if Nicole was happy.
Nicole admitted there was an issue with Holly, who had been holding out hope that her mom would find her way back to Eric. Although EJ wasn’t perfect, Nicole acknowledged that she wasn’t either.
Eric ultimately asked if Nicole would be getting married today if it wasn’t for the baby. Nicole admitted she probably wouldn’t, but she felt like the paternity was a sign that she was meant to be with EJ.
Later, Eric opened up to Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) about Nicole and how he’d have reunited with her in a heartbeat if the baby had been his.
Although Eric thought it was natural to still have feelings for someone after so many years of being intertwined, Marlena seemed uneasy.
If Eric was truly committed to Sloan Petersen (Jessica Serfaty), then those feelings would fade. That said, Marlena pushed Eric to look within his heart as he worked to make sense of his feelings.
Afterward, Eric pulled out his phone and contemplated calling Nicole. Once Eric dialed Sloan’s number instead, he left a voicemail for her to call him back since he wanted to discuss something.
Back at the DiMera mansion, Holly once again assured Johnny that she was over her crush on EJ and got updates on Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) not coming to the wedding because she was visiting Lani Price-Grant (Sal Stowers) in prison.
At one point, Holly imagined she was marrying Johnny, but she eventually snapped out of the fantasy.
Chad led EJ and Nicole through their vows, but Nicole hesitated on taking EJ to be her lawfully wedding husband.
Once Nicole realized she had spaced out, she claimed the baby was doing somersaults and that she’d briefly feared it was a contraction.
Nicole finished her vows and exchanged rings with EJ, so Chad pronounced them husband and wife before they kissed.
Since Nicole couldn’t imbibe in Champagne, EJ had sparkling cider for everyone in solidarity at the reception.
In the park on Thursday’s Days episode, Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash) met with Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (Richard Wharton) and got him all hyped up about DiMera loyalty.
Stefano DiMera (Joseph Mascolo) would want Li Shin’s (Remington Hoffman) shares to be back under DiMera control, so Dr. Rolf agreed to help.
Meanwhile, Gabi DiMera (Camila Banus) continued her kidnapping act over the phone and warned Li that he couldn’t call the police before pretending the call got cut off.
Li called Wendy Shin (Victoria Grace) for assistance before realizing she had a new job and was likely at the police station. That led to Li telling Wendy to ignore his voicemail.
Instead, Li vowed to find Gabi himself, but Dr. Rolf blocked his path as he tried to leave the apartment.
Dr. Rolf admitted he was there about Gabi’s kidnapping and acted like this was all part of Megan DiMera’s (Miranda Wilson) scheme for DiMera control.
After Dr. Rolf suggested he was acting as Megan’s emissary, he pushed for Li’s cooperation if he wanted to keep Gabi safe.
During their conversation, Dr. Rolf got Li talking about how he was in on the plot to eliminate Stefan.
Gabi showed up to point out that Li took the bait – and then Stefan entered to play a recording of Li’s confession.
Dr. Rolf revealed that he had a listening device hidden in his jacket, so Li was backed into a corner on Thursday’s DOOL show.
Option one was Gabi and Stefan could take this recording to Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) while option two was Li signing over his shares. Li chose option two and signed his shares away, but he was livid over Gabi betraying him like this.
Once Li was alone, he declared that Gabi made a big mistake and refused to let her make a fool of him.
Back with Stefan and Gabi, they crashed EJ and Nicole’s wedding reception with updates on some huge news. Stefan told EJ that he was fired as Thursday’s Days episode wrapped up.
