Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers indicate that a familiar face will reappear, so we’ve got some exciting return news to share with fans. Tamara Braun will be reprising her role as Ava Vitali, so let’s talk about this character’s comeback and what Days has in store.
Back in December 2022, Ava’s mental health issues drove her so far off the rails that she had to be committed.
DOOL viewers will recall that Ava kept hallucinating Charlie Dale (Mike Manning) and seeing twisted things that weren’t there.
Ava was ultimately sent to Bayview, but Tripp Johnson (Lucas Adams) refused to abandon his mom despite her crimes and past mistakes.
Since Ava wasn’t in her right mind, Tripp has tried to be gentle with her and give her the support she needs.
Unfortunately, Ava’s offscreen stint at the mental institution has brought some struggles. There have been times when Ava was basically catatonic and unable to really respond to Tripp’s presence.
However, the fact that Ava’s returning is a good sign for her recovery.
Since Ava’s going to be onscreen again at some point, that means she’ll be well enough to communicate and could be on the verge of getting released.
Since Harris Michaels (Steve Burton) begged Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) to sign the paperwork and have him committed to Bayview as well, there’s been speculation that Harris might interact with Ava while they’re locked up there together.
That could bring a chance at love or at least friendship depending on how things play out.
Regardless, Days spoilers suggest Ava may be rather lonely and could probably use someone like Harris to keep her company.
There’s no word yet on Ava’s exact return airdate or any other story details, but DOOL writers surely have some interesting things cooked up!
