General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Wednesday, February 8, tease that Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) will be relieved when Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) awakens in her hospital bed. It’ll leave Carly feeling like the worst of this crisis is over, but another round of disturbing news is brewing.
Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) will be hopeful as well once Willow’s begging to see their newborn daughter.
There’ll be some sweet family moments as Willow and Michael mull over the right name for their little girl, but more medical drama’s on the way.
That’s because a prognosis change is coming up for Willow in the very near future.
It could lead to Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) being Willow’s bone marrow donor in the end, but let’s talk about Liesl and Nina Reeves’ (Cynthia Watros) discussion in the meantime.
Obrecht will certainly be on Nina’s side as she vents about Carly hiding the DNA truth.
Carly kept Nina and Willow from knowing about their biological connection for far too long, so Liesl will understand why Nina’s furious.
Nina will hint about Carly keeping something else under wraps as well, but she won’t be sure exactly what.
However, Nina may realize Carly and Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) don’t want anyone to know how close they are – and that’s a clue she can build on.
Drew and Carly are doing their best to avoid landing in the slammer for insider trading, but trouble could be just around the corner – especially with Nina and perhaps Liesl searching for the truth.
Other GH spoilers say Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) will feel like he’s stuck in exile.
Willow is rooting for Michael to patch things up with his father, but Sonny won’t get any closer to achieving that goal on Wednesday’s episode.
At The Invader, Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) will present a hypothetical legal scenario and hope Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) can give him some guidance.
Alexis may guess that Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) is in a tight spot based on the hints Finn provides.
Liz will also talk to Laura about being far from perfect, so Laura may struggle to make sense of why Elizabeth is so disheartened.
Although Laura knows Elizabeth was caught up in something with Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss), she may not pry any real answers out of Liz right now.
Afterward, Laura will seek updates from Ava Jerome (Maura West).
Since Laura realizes Ava inserted herself in Nikolas and Spencer Cassadine’s (Nicholas Chavez) battle, she may call to check in and voice concerns.
Laura might also wonder if Ava’s seen Nikolas since the custody drama blew up.
Ava will lie to ease Laura’s mind, so she may act like Nik took a trip to clear his head or something along those lines.
At the stables, Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth) will do what he promised and help Ava cover up her role in Nikolas’ death.
Of course, Ava won’t count on a surprise visitor popping up and grilling her.
General Hospital spoilers say Scott will face a stunning discovery, so Ava may have to let him join the secret circle if he barges in and figures out what’s going on.
Back at The Invader, Alexis will try to uncover Gregory Chase’s (Gregory Harrison) true motives.
Gregory will eventually turn down Alexis’ job offer, so she’ll needle him a bit and push to find out why.
Alexis and Gregory could be headed for romantic territory eventually, but their working relationship will be the topic of conversation until then.
