In tonight’s The Blacklist episode, someone faked a mass shooting at a hospital. They had everyone worried. The nurses, doctors, and patients were all forced to evacuate while the police investigated. It was later revealed to be a hoax. It made everyone relieved and at the same time it made them question why.

Why fake an active shooter at a hospital? Well, it turns out the Troll Farmer was involved. He created mass hysteria in order to hide a very real crime in all the chaos. He stole the information from a congressman aide’s badge. He wanted that badge because he wanted to recreate a fake one that would help him as well as employers into stealing military technology.

Only Reddington didn’t know the why. He just knew it was the Troll Farmer behind the hoax at a DC hospital. The man’s real name is Bo Chang. Bo had actually worked for Red for a while.

He helped Red go on the run with Keene and he was arrested by the FBI. The Troller Farmer popping up to do this could only mean one thing. He found a new boss. Red suspected it was Wujing. He knew that Wujing would want someone else with a grudge against the FBI and he wasn’t wrong. Red warned his FBI friends about the connection.

Red also ditched his phone. He said it was very freeing to throw his phone in a dumpster. He doesn’t care that it makes it harder for people to reach him. He feels it also makes it harder for his enemies to reach him as well. Red had the FBI look into the faked mass shooting. They had to find the real crime behind the fake crime.

They found out a man witness someone breaking into a car and he gave that car’s license plate to local police. The car was gone by time local police went looking for it. And so they left things there.

The FBI, however, knew better. They checked the man whose car gotten broken into. His name was Graham Flynn. His boss on a House Select Intelligence Committee.

They were supposed to be at an undisclosed location to discuss new military tech and unfortunately the Troll Farmer weaved his web of chaos. They were told the building was on fire. It was all over social media and so the committee was leaving when Bo came by with a gun. He stole HexRoot. HexRoot was a new cyber weapon that could infiltrate any cyber defense it was aimed at. It was very dangerous.

There’s no telling what it can be used for. Only the people that built it had also put in a failsafe. Leave it to the NSA to spy on their spy devices and so the FBI were quickly able to arrest Bo. Again!

They also got back HexRoot. Bo refuses to say why he needed HexRoot. He claimed not to know the grand plan and he also revealed his hatred for Red. He blames Red for going to prison. He said Red must have turned him in or else the FBI would never have gotten close to arresting him that first time or dismantling his network.

Wujing truly was collecting everyone member on the blacklist that Red put away. He was creating an army, but Reddington didn’t see it that way. Red started to wear a bee pin to his lapel.

He said he wanted Wujing to know he saw him as a fly that was easily killable. Red was making himself out to be a threat. It didn’t hurt that the world already saw him one and so the FBI used that to bring Bo to heel. They gave Bo a fake suitcase that was supposed to look like HexRoot. They then had Bo contact Wujing.

Bo was supposed to collect evidence against Wujing or risk his own freedom as well as his life. The Red threat could kill him if he doesn’t. Only there was another option. Bo went with the fake suitcase and he got manhandled by the Freelancer who went on to escape from the FBI’s custody. And he owes that to Richard Deever.

Deever was still working with Wujing and Wujing has a literal army at his beck and call. The FBI figured it was going to take forever to take him down. It just didn’t take Red all that much to track down Deever and the Freelancer.

Red tied Deever up and left him for the FBI to find. As for The Freelancer, Red was holding onto him as he learns more about Wujing’s master plan.

THE END!
