The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Wednesday, August 16, reveals that Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) called to check in with Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood), who said the kids were asleep while Eric Forrester (John McCook) and Donna Logan (Jennifer Gareis) were at a gala.
Steffy planned to handle some work emails at the Forrester mansion and go to bed, but she admitted it felt weird not being at the cliff house with John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan).
After Finn took a swim, he looked around his empty home and wondered how this was possible. Finn flashed back to some happy memories with Steffy before rushing over to Eric’s place.
Steffy was surprised to see Finn, who brought a stuffed animal that Hayes Forrester Finnegan (Alexander and Chase Banks) had been looking for.
Finn learned Kelly Spencer (Sophia Paras McKinlay) seemed OK, so Steffy didn’t think there was any residual damage from what happened on the beach.
That left Finn hopeful that there wouldn’t be any residual damage to their marriage either.
After Finn gave another powerful speech and begged Steffy to come home, she admitted she wanted to wake the kids up and come back to him.
Finn suggested they should do that and kissed Steffy, but she just couldn’t return to the cliff house – not when Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) was still out there.
Although Finn tried to convince Steffy that Sheila wouldn’t be a problem anymore, Steffy remained wary.

Finn was willing to give Steffy the time and space that she needed, but he made it clear that he wasn’t going anywhere.
Once Finn declared that he was Steffy’s husband, he vowed that nothing and no one would keep them apart.
At Spencer Publications on Wednesday’s B&B episode, Liam flashed back to some romantic Steffy memories. After Liam decided he couldn’t let Steffy go again, he dashed over to the Forrester mansion.
Steffy was wearing some slinky black sleepwear when Liam arrived. Once Liam learned Finn was just there, he admitted he couldn’t blame him.
Liam felt that Finn would be “damn foolish” not to fight for Steffy since she was such an incredible woman.
After Liam showered Steffy with compliments and refused to swallow his feelings, he said losing her was the biggest mistake of his entire life.
Liam reiterated that if the stars aligned and he got another chance, he’d hold Steffy so tight and never let go.
That said, Liam realized Steffy was still a married woman, so he said the last thing he wanted to do was interfere in her marriage.
Liam just wanted it on the record that he was “so completely, totally in love” with Steffy and that he always would be.
Steffy looked uneasy as Liam kissed her on the cheek and ultimately said he should leave.
Liam did as he was told, but he stopped at the door to gaze back at Steffy longingly. The whole thing left Steffy looking confused about how she should feel.
At Forrester Creations, Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) showed Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) some bridal gown designs that he’d been working on.
When Ridge asked if Brooke liked option A, B or C, she chose the nonexistent option D instead.
Although Brooke felt Ridge’s designs were exquisite, she wanted to do things her way when it came to her wedding dress.
Ridge thought that was perfect and urged Brooke to surprise him, so she insisted that’s exactly what she wanted to do.
Brooke and Ridge were still worried about their daughters, but Ridge felt they could conquer anything together and dipped her when he planted a passionate kiss.
Once Finn made it back home, he looked determined and muttered about being together with Steffy again.
