The Young and the Restless Recap: Thursday, October 26 – Victoria Fumes Over Dad’s Trick – Victor’s Strange Nate Call

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Thursday, October 26, reveals that Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will keep trying to convince Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) that Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) deserves the truth.

However, Victor will only trust Nikki and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) right now, so he’ll want to move forward with the final step and keep Victoria in the dark along with Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman).

Victor will be vague about what comes next, but Nikki will act like this is all going to end in disaster.

At Crimson Lights on Thursday’s Y&R episode, Nick will stun Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) with the news that Victor faked his mental deterioration and has been duping all of them.

Although Nick will blame Adam for causing Victor to launch this scheme, Sharon will point out that Victor doesn’t seem to trust Victoria either.

When Sharon wonders if Nick will tell Victoria what’s really going on, he won’t see that he has much of a choice.

Sharon will warn that it could ruin Victoria’s relationship with Victor, but Nick will act like it’s Victor’s own fault if that happens.

In bed at Nate’s place, Victoria will reflect on what it would’ve been like to grow up in a more normal family where they had simpler jobs and avoided all the corporate drama.

Victoria will add that there are times she wishes Victor was just her dad instead of her boss or business partner.

It’d make it easier to talk to Victor about her concerns without him thinking it was Victoria’s play for the throne.

Victoria will suggest it’s like they’re some royal family battling for the crown once Victor’s deceased.

However, Victoria won’t want Victor to pass away – and during times like this, she won’t even be sure she wants the crown.

After Nick calls and summons Victoria to Society, she’ll join him and learn that Victor’s just fine. Victoria will express confusion, so Nick will insist Victor’s fake mental decline was part of his latest loyalty test.

As Victoria tries to wrap her head around Nick’s updates, it’ll seem like she’s dealing with a mixture of shock, pain and anger.

Back with Victor, he’ll call Nate and ask him to come to the ranch without telling anyone else. Victor will babble on about how “they” think he doesn’t know what they’re doing, so Nate will wonder what this is all about.

Once Victor says he doesn’t want to get into the details over the phone, he’ll push Nate to come over and claim that Nate’s the only one he can trust.

At the GCAC, Adam will spot Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) sulking at the bar and assume her romance with Nick is truly over, so he’ll be sorry for destroying something else that was good for her.

Sally will confess she hasn’t been able to get a sense of finality from Nick since he refuses to talk about their relationship.

Once Sally pushes Adam to stay and sees that something’s troubling him, he’ll admit he thinks he’s pushed Victor over the edge.

Adam will recap all Victor’s bizarre and concerning behavior, but Sally won’t see why he should blame himself for it.

That’s when Adam will suggest Victor probably saw though his latest redemption act and finally lost it.

Adam will confess that he was actually out for revenge, so Sally will realize he lied to her, too. After Adam expresses regret, Sally will see the fear in his eyes and decide she believes he’s being genuine.

Adam will appreciate Sally giving him the benefit of the doubt since she’s the only one who does. Sally will also give Adam some advice about how to handle his worries regarding Victor.

After Adam mentions calling a psychiatrist for his father, he’ll fret over how to pull off that meeting without Victor thinking he’s working an angle.

As another option, Sally will suggest Adam should band together with his siblings on what’s important.

Adam will act like he already tried, but Sally will push him to try harder since getting Victor help matters more than rivalries or anything else.

Later, Adam will express his gratitude to Sally by the staircase, so she’ll hint about him making progress and give him a goodnight hug before he goes.

The Young and the restless spoilers say the Newman family will remain in crisis mode thanks to Victor’s deception, so stay tuned!
