General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Thursday, January 11, reveals that Angela Brighton (Brighton Hertford) returned to Kelly’s, where Maxie Jones (Kristen Storms) arranged for her to hear all sorts of Bobbie Spencer (Jacklyn Zeman) anecdotes for the profile she was working on.
Laura Collins (Genie Francis), Lucas Jones (Ryan Carnes), Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner), Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring), Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell), Josslyn Jacks (temporarily played by Courtney Fulk), Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) and Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) all showed up for interviews.
The reporter went by Brighton and was amazed over all the stories she heard about Bobbie.
Maxie wished Brighton could stick around, but Brighton said her bosses only allowed her to be in Port Charles for a short time.
After Maxie turned away for a moment, she was surprised over Brighton disappearing so fast.
In Amsterdam, Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) and Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) managed to track down Bobbie’s contact, Famke (Elise Robertson), who realized that Bobbie passed away before she could ensure the safe passage of a human trafficking victim named Cornelia (Ellie Darcy-Alden).
Carly figured out that Cornelia was likely at the cabin Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) mentioned, so Felicia and Carly headed to Ontario, Canada.
While Felicia was driving, Carly wondered why they never really spent much time together until now, but their conversation was interrupted when a moose caused Felicia to hit the brakes.
The car screeched off the road and wound up with a flat tire, so Carly helped Felicia change it as they got honest about why they’d never connected.
Part of Felicia had resented Carly for the damage she did to Bobbie and Tony Jones’ (Brad Maule) marriage. Likewise, Carly had judged Felicia for abandoning Maxie all those years.
Carly and Felicia decided that it was time to forgive and joked about how it was perhaps Bobbie’s plan for them to get close.
Once Felicia and Carly made it to the cabin, Cornelia tried to attack them with a shovel and didn’t trust that they were friends.
Carly showed Cornelia a picture of Bobbie and insisted that was her mom.
Although Bobbie passed away, Carly wanted to help Cornelia – and Felicia backed her up. Cornelia hugged Carly and accepted the offer, so Felicia got on the phone with Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) for assistance with the asylum paperwork.
Anna was with Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers), who was able to make all the necessary arrangements for Cornelia.
Once Carly and Felicia made it back to Port Charles, Liz treated a small gash on Carly’s head that she got from the car accident. Elizabeth said her offer still stood on fixing Kelly’s sign, but Carly had another idea.
The next morning, Liz delivered the sign to Carly and got the seal of approval. Carly, Laura and Lucas all thought it was perfect, but GH viewers weren’t shown the sign just yet.
Lucas said his goodbyes to Carly since he had a flight to catch, but she urged him not to be a stranger.
At Maxie’s house, she was confused since Angela Brighton’s business card had disappeared and she had zero online presence.
Felicia vowed to look into this, but the AP in Amsterdam had no record of anyone working there by that name.
Separately, Felicia and Maxie realized Brighton was actually B.J. Jones on a heavenly visit, so Maxie touched her heart and shared an emotional moment with her mom once they reconvened.
Outside Kelly’s, Lucas spotted Brighton and thanked her for today, so she said anytime and called him “champ.”
Lucas froze with his back turned since that was the nickname B.J. used to call him. When Lucas turned around, Brighton aka B.J. was gone.
Thursday’s episode concluded with a montage of Bobbie flashbacks and the reveal of Kelly’s new sign, which showed that Carly had renamed it “Bobbie’s.”
