General Hospital (GH) spoilers hint that Ace Cassadine (Karis and Kiernan Barry) is Laura Collins’ (Genie Francis) true weakness, so Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) may have a horrible backup plan.
GH viewers know Laura was both rattled and livid when Sidwell backed her into a blackmail corner.
Sidwell is using photos of Laura with deceased Professor Henry “Hank” Dalton (Daniel Goddard) to his advantage and caught Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) on camera, too.
Laura can’t turn herself in without dragging Sonny down with her, so she’s reluctant to go to the cops.
That said, Laura might have no choice but to consider a PCPD confession if Sidwell pushes her too far.
There may come a point when Sidwell makes a demand that Laura just can’t follow through on.
If Laura is asked to do something that could result in harm or the demise of another person, she may have to draw the line.
Laura wouldn’t like the idea of incriminating Sonny, but he’s a mob boss who knows the risk of getting rid of bodies.
Sonny would surely understand and support Laura in doing whatever she needs to do.
Laura may ultimately tell Sidwell that she’s done playing these games with him.
If Sidwell pushes Laura to her limit, she may insist she’s going to tell the PCPD everything and invite him to send them the pics if he wants.
However, Sidwell is quite interested in using Laura and her mayoral position to his advantage. You can bet that Sidwell won’t give that up without a fight!
Sidwell already threatened Kevin Collins’ (Jon Lindstrom) life and alarmed Laura in the process.
That said, threatening Ace may be Sidwell’s next move and serve as another way to keep Laura in line.
Back when Sidwell first spelled out the blackmail situation, he picked up Ace’s baby monitor while the tot was crying.
Sidwell reminded Laura of an earlier conversation that involved him saying everyone had a price – and he felt that he’d found Laura’s.
That may have been a hint about Ace becoming a bigger factor in this mess eventually.
The role of Ace was recast and fans are seeing him a bit more often, so that may be in preparation for the next chapter of the story.
Laura might be willing to give up her freedom, but can she really risk whatever Sidwell might do to Ace?
That might be the dilemma that Laura is forced to face down the road.
Ace could get tangled up in a kidnapping plot or some other form of danger sooner or later, so stick with us for updates on any scary news to come.
