The Young and the Restless (Y&R) preview video for the week of August 4-8 reveals that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will plot to use Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) against Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) while Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) becomes a surprise wavemaker.
Y&R’s weekly promo kicks off with Adam Newman (Mark Grossman), who asks what brings Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) by when they show up at Newman Media.
“Why else do Newmans drop by each other’s offices unannounced? To make a deal,” Claire insists in the preview clip.
Although Victor tried to shut down Claire and Kyle’s move-in plans, they may insist on moving forward with an agreement for Adam’s old place anyway.
As for Victor, he’ll have more important things to worry about in the week ahead.
Once Victor meets with Lily and Devon Winters (Bryton James) at Crimson Lights, he’ll ask if they’re aware that Cane has returned to town.
Cane will indeed be back in Genoa City by then, so Lily will insist she plans to avoid him at all costs.
Victor won’t think that’s necessarily a good idea and will spell out why soon enough.
It sounds like Victor knows Lily is Cane’s weak spot and will hope to use her to his advantage.
Victor may try to manipulate Lily into helping him since he could use her to sway and control Cane.
In a suite at the athletic club, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will be eager to kick off a private meeting with Cane.
However, Cane will ultimately point out that someone else will be joining them.
Phyllis will guess this person must be a heavy hitter if Cane’s letting them into his business world. Once Billy shows up at the door, Phyllis will realize he’s the one Cane’s invited to their brainstorming session.
“Who’s ready to make some waves?” Billy asks in the weekly preview video.
Cane may eventually offer updates on the details of his grand plans in GC, but he’ll need help if he’s going to pull them off.
Can Cane trust Phyllis and Billy to get the job done? Can Billy and Phyllis trust Cane not to double-cross them?
The truth is that none of these people are trustworthy, so Cane, Phyllis and Billy will all need to watch their backs in the coming episodes.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say troubling news could be brewing as Cane gets settled back in Genoa City.
