The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers hint that Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) may not be thinking clearly enough to remember correctly right now.
What if Steffy is so distraught that she’s forgetting one passionate encounter with John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan)?
In B&B’s September 14 episode, Steffy was adamant that Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) must be the father of her unborn child.
According to Steffy, she hasn’t hit the sheets with Finn in a while due to all his extra time at the hospital.
Of course, things went off the rails in Monaco before Steffy and Finn had a chance to sizzle there.
Steffy has drawn the conclusion that Finn couldn’t possibly be the father, but what if she’s wrong?
One look at hysterical Steffy should tell fans that she’s not in a good place mentally right now.
It’s reasonable to think Steffy’s brain might be feeling a bit scrambled due to the stress she’s been under.
Steffy has been a mess ever since that horrible drunken night, so can we really trust her memory at the moment?
What if Finn and Steffy had an unsatisfying, brief encounter one night before deciding they were both too tired to be into it?
It might’ve been a fast, forgettable thing for Steffy – so forgettable that it’s not even a thought in her mind.
We get that it’s important for Steffy to remember her father options, but this is also a soap!
That means characters’ actions often have to fit with whatever plot points the writers decide on.
In other words, Steffy may be forgetting one encounter with Finn because that’s what it’ll take to bring a big twist at the end of this storyline.
Without a paternity test as proof, the show may be leaving the door open for Finn to be the father after all.
After Steffy pretends to move ahead with a regular surrogacy and lies to Daphne Rose Walton (Murielle Hilaire), a shocker could come once the baby’s born.
Finn might find himself deeply drawn to Steffy’s new bundle of joy.
The baby could also have Finn’s skin tone and overall resemblance.
That’s when it could click for Steffy and bring a forgotten memory rushing back.
Steffy could finally remember one Finn encounter that makes him the bio dad instead of Carter.
Steffy’s secret could be exposed once this surrogacy falls apart, so that could leave Daphne heartbroken along with Carter when they don’t get their child.
Finn would get another kid with Steffy, but he’d have to deal with the cheating revelation and the fact that Steffy lied about this surrogacy for months.
