The Young and the Restless spoilers document that the business venture Daniel Goddard (Cane Ashby) and Bryton James (Devon Hamilton) recently teased is an app called BILDBORD, which is geared toward soap opera fans. Goddard announced the official start of the business through his Facebook page.
The app (software that can be used on a smartphone, or other mobile device) that Goddard and James introduced allows users to create a profile where they can link their social media accounts, music playlists and photos. Users can also add up to 50 hashtags, which allows them to connect with other users who share similar interests.

In an interview with Soap Opera Digest Goddard said, “From all the years I’ve spent meeting soap fans, I realized how many friendships and relationships have been made between them.”
“I wanted to find a way to bring the fans together as one group so they could share their individual love for the soap genre, the shows, the characters and the actors.”
Goddard also noted that he and James wanted to create an app that would allow fans to share similar interests, but would also go beyond soaps.

Goddard and Hamilton have a friendship that has expanded to include their new business venture. But Y&R fans know that their characters parted on tense terms in the recent past.
Sadly for his fans, Goddard’s contract with this iconic soap opera wasn’t renewed. The longtime actor, who debuted on Y&R in 2007, left the cast in 2019. Cane left Genoa City, Wisconsin, in November.

As fans recall, Cane’s father, Colin Atkinson (Tristan Rogers), verbally implicated him in the money laundering scheme that involved Katherine Chancellor’s (Jeanne Cooper) inheritance. Cane promised Devon that he would track Colin down in order to rectify the situation.
Colin eventually transferred what he’d stolen back to Devon’s account, without admitting his guilt. Rogers’ character was later caught off-screen, with Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz), who remained tied to the case, providing the good news.
Cane’s whereabouts haven’t been detailed since the resolution to the storyline that wrote him out. Of course Lane fans would love for him to return to GC and reconcile with Lily Winters (Christel Khalil).
