The tabloids will never give up on creating the image of Angelina Jolie as this horrible, oppressive girlfriend who won’t let Brad Pitt do anything. Their latest story, courtesy of the National Enquirer, claims that Angelina is now banning Brad from hanging out with Quentin Tarantino.
Quentin is supposedly a terrible influence on Brad, and as an act of defiance, Angelina’s refusing to socialize with Quentin and his new girlfriend, Uma Thurman. See, Brad and Quentin have been close since they filmed Inglourious Basterds in 2009, but Angie’s not happy about Quentin’s partying and pot-smoking taking a toll on Brad.
Right, because Brad Pitt’s never smoked pot or done drugs? Come on, you’re telling me that whenever they have free time, Brad and Angelina don’t sneak off and go have a quiet drink/smoke away from the kids? Brad’s been very vocal about his love for weed in the past, and in fact, he reportedly spent his entire marriage to Jennifer Aniston stoned. So no, I don’t think Quentin Tarantino is a bad influence on Brad. Also, I doubt Angelina cares about that stuff – after all, she used to do drugs and wear vials of people’s blood back in her heyday as well, remember? She knows she’s not in the position to judge people, even if she’s taken on the second coming of Mother Theresa during this part of her life.
The Enquirer also claims that in addition to the partying, Angelina feels ‘awkward’ around Uma Thurman because she was accused of hooking up with Ethan Hawke when he and Uma were still married. Angelina and Ethan supposedly had an affair while filming Taking Lives in 2003, when Ethan was still with Uma. I guess it was something of an open secret in Hollywood, so this is actually a more legitimate reason for why Angie might not want to hang out with Uma. In the same way, I’m sure she would never want to hang out with Jennifer Aniston, either.
