Tom Cruise has not seen his daughter Suri in 646 days! Tom Cruise infamously was served divorce papers from Suri’s mother Katie Holmes in 2012, and hasn’t even attempted to fight for custody or visitation of their 9-year-old daughter. Father’s Day fell on June 21 this year, and everyone watched with eagle eyes to see if Tom spent the day with his daughter Suri; however, they were on opposite ends of the country and Tom reportedly made no attempt to spend the holiday with his daughter.
Although at first it seemed like Katie Holmes may have been going out of her way to keep Suri from Tom Cruise, it’s beginning to look like the actor could care less whether he does or doesn’t see his daughter. The July 6 edition of In Touch Magazine reveals, “Tom has access to a private jet that could have him in Los Angeles (where Suri and Katie live) in under five hours – but he still hasn’t used it to see Suri in 646 days. The star has previously insisted that he has not abandoned his daughter and he talks to her on the phone and on Skype.”
How does Katie Holmes feel about Tom’s less than stellar parenting? According to In Touch Magazine, Katie is actually relieved that Tom is not in their lives, because that means that Scientology is not in their lives either. Obviously, Katie hates seeing her daughter miss her father, but apparently that’s a small price to pay compared to living in a strict world of Scientology. An insider dished to In Touch Magazine, “Katie didn’t make her break from Tom with the best financial arrangement – due to an iron-clad prenup. But she feels that she and Suri got out with their freedom.”
