Teenage girls are screaming all over the world right now at the possibility of Zayn Malik returning to popular boy band One Direction. The One Direction fandom has recently gone into a craze after someone alleged Zayn would be returning to One Direction – all based on a post they claim they saw on the official One Direction website.
Despite the endless amount of drama and vicious messages that fans sent to Zayn after his departure from One Direction, it seems that Zayn Malik’s fans are now ready to accept his return with arms wide open. The hashtag #ZaynIsComingBack began trending on Twitter and fans started tweeting hundreds of thousands of messages anticipating Zayns’ return, and expressing their excitement of the possibility that One Direction would soon be whole again.
Speculation first began when one fan noted that Zayn Malik’s profile page was reuploaded to the One Direction website. On top of this, another fan noticed that, at the same exact time, the One Direction Facebook page removed the message first announcing Zayn’s departure.
It was this series of events that sent the Twitter world into a frenzy, and sparked hope in One Direction fans everywhere that Zayn Malik would return. Of course, some fans alleged that Zayn’s profile was never removed from the website in the first place, and argued that there was still no hope for Zayn to rejoin his bandmates.
As you know, it has been reported that Zayn Malik has an open invitation to rejoin the band, but as of now there is no confirmation. Despite the immense amount of rumors that were started, neither One Direction, or Zayn Malik himself, have made an official announcement regarding the band reuniting.
We hate to burst your bubble, but it is unlikely that Zayn Malik will come back to One Direction right now. He just left the band, and he seems to be happy working with his new producer, Naughty Boy. Most likely, he also has a contract signed with his producer, so until that is fulfilled, we would be surprised to see Zayn go back to One Direction. Sorry!
Honestly, though, who cares if Zayn comes back or now. One Direction has seen an enormous amount of success. It’s okay for them to take a break and make room for some new artists.
