Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s twins, Knox and Vivienne Jolie-Pitt, spent the day at the park yesterday looking all adorable. As someone with chubby cheeks, I hate myself for saying this, but all I want to do is pinch their round faces!
So Fameflynet reports the kids were there hanging with their nannies but it turns out Angelina Jolie was also around, just hiding in the car making phone calls. So do you hate her now? Cue the Angelina Jolie is a shit mother who can’t be bothered to raise her own kids vitriol. You know you want to!
I’m always on the fence with this. On the one hand, why have so many kids if you can’t take care of them? My mom (and I’m sure a lot of yours) raised tons of kids without the help of nannies. Although, I guess my grandma was sort of our nanny since my mom shipped us off to her whenever she needed her sanity back. On the other hand, Brad and Angelina have high stress, unique careers where nannies are probably necessary and ridiculously helpful. But if Angelina was at the park, why couldn’t she get out and play with her kids? Perhaps she knew the paparazzo was there and didn’t want to distract her kids from having fun? It’s weird though, right? It’s almost like she’s the mom who makes sure her kids are fed, educated and clean but can’t ever be bothered to just relax with them. I actually know women like this who take their mommy duties so seriously they can’t ever be cool and just play with their kids. Why play when we can learn? Blurgh.
I always thought it would be hard to have nannies because I’m afraid I’d be all bitchy and resentful if I saw my kids gravitate towards them more than me. I get sad when my dogs run to my husband first when we both enter the house! But Angie seems secure, right? She’s not out there fighting with the nannies for attention from her kids. Maybe Angie’s the type of parent who rolls around on the floor with her children at home? I kinda think Brad’s that parent but maybe they both can be fun. Maybe?
