X Factor’s Carly Rose Sonenclar: Her Struggle To Be Accepted

Carly Rose Sonenclar, the potential winner of X-Factor USA, almost didn’t make it this far in the competition. Back when the pre-casting for the show began, Carly went to a “mall to a kiosk to audition”. This is usually the easiest and most comfortable way for casting directors on reality television shows to find the next big star. Aside from the preliminary auditions at the audition venue itself – most reality television talent competitions have two preliminary phases of auditioning in order for casting agents to make the correct choice – a kiosk or an “instant audition” at a public venue such as a mall usually draws massive crowds. The pool of talent is wider and the casting directors are able to take their time to make a decision.

When Carly arrived at the kiosk to audition, another act luckily dropped out at the last minute and gave her the opportunity to try out for the show. Carly was successful and was given a call-back to the live auditions in Providence. However, the casting directors informed her that even if she made the long trip to the X-Factor live auditions, there was a strong chance that she wouldn’t have made it to the judges. As fate would have it, Carly arrived at Providence and the casting directors at the live event chose her to perform before the judges – a moment that not only changed her life, but also changed ours. It was serendipitous. Carly also recently admitted that she tried out for America’s Got Talent, but she didn’t even make it past the preliminary judging.

Current trends on the internet and social media sites indicate that Carly Rose Sonenclar, the vocal prodigy, will in all probability win the entire competition and walk away as one of the youngest winners in the history of the show.
