Well, some consider her a perfect Stepford Wife so is it any surprise to learn she was a Stepford child while at Marlborough College? Kate Middleton and Pippa Middleton are coming under fire for making the other children (but mostly their parents) feel “rather hopeless” while they attended grade school because they always had the best things and portrayed the perfect family.
Basically Carole Middleton was the kind of mother I would love to be but have no patience, care or time to be. And she was building a million dollar empire at the same time which pisses me off. Everyone thinks Pippa and Kate are the true stories but really it’s Carole all the way. There’s no way Kate would be where she is without that woman. Anyway, so some mothers whose kids went to school with Kate and Pippa are bitching about the way Carole sewed in name labels for their clothes and bought them the nicest things and pretty much acted the super mom.
“There was always something slightly galling about having your child at school with the Middletons,” a mother told Tatler magazine. “There were huge picnics at sports day; the smartest tennis rackets, that kind of thing. It made other families feel rather hopeless.”
I was friends with a family like this in my school. Their mom was perfect and she always dressed them in the cutest clothes and hand made their adorable Halloween outfits when I had to wear the hand-me-down reindeer costume my grandma made years before. I’m still annoyed about that. Their mom was just super present with everything they did. They were lovely people but it did have the ability to bite you in the ass from time to time. So Kate and Pippa were those kids. Again, not surprising. You don’t go from the coal mines to Windsor Palace in a few generations without keeping your shit straight and Carole was there to do that. Haters gonna hate!
Would Cressida Bonas consider perfectionism tacky? Is that a middle class thing? Blue bloods probably don’t have to worry about it. Is this Kate Middleton/hopeless story surprising to anyone considering what we know about the family?
