Desiree Hartsock knows what it’s like to be on the other side, which makes it all the more compelling that she gets to be this year’s Bachelorette. In several promotional interviews, Desiree has been discussing her future and what she feels about finding her true love on the show.
She first talks about the hardest questions she thought of about asking the guys at the beginning, explaining, “You know, I was straightforward. I would ask them, you know, ‘Are you ready for marriage; Are you ready for a family; Do you want kids; Where do you see your future?’ And that’s in order for me to really see if my future lines up with them.”
She also reveals that she does worry about not being able to fall in love with any of her suitors, explaining, “You know, I didn’t want to put any pressure on it or have any expectations. So I wasn’t necessarily worried, but I guess I would be with that. I was worried that maybe this wouldn’t work for me. I think though I was still very hopeful that it would.”
Do you guys think that Desiree is actually worried about finding love? I mean, it is the point of the show, after all. I have to give her props for admitting that she’s worried about not falling in love in a public interview. I’m sure ABC producers won’t be too happy to hear that, since it doesn’t exactly go in line with what ‘The Bachelorette’ promises as a show.
But it’s true, isn’t it? What’s the guarantee that she’ll fall in love? Sure, at the end of the show, she has to pick one guy to be with the rest of her life – she has no choice. But she can’t go, nope, didn’t like any of them. In real life, maybe, but not on the Bachelorette.
