Would you keep up appearances and pretend to be happily married for $100 million bucks? That seems to be exactly the situation that Beyonce and Jay-Z are finding themselves in right now. The once solid couple has been dogged by rumors of infidelity and divorce for about a year now with things coming to an obvious head in that infamous Solange Knowles elevator incident last May. Bey and Jay were paid most of that $100 million in advance for their current On the Run Tour and so, as professionals, they are hitting the stage and working hard to try and convince people that they are still drunk in love.
According to the Aug. 11th print edition of Star Magazine the couple knows how to put work above their personal feelings but don’t be fooled by those cute Instagram photos and steamy performances, divorce is still clearly in sight here. Both Bey and Jay realize that they need to sell a united image right now for the good of their tour but once it wraps up later this month they’ll likely go in very different directions.
Sources say that Jay has actually been spending quality time with Rihanna to help him through this rough patch, a move that doesn’t sit well with his wife. Bey knows that Rihanna has been angling for more than just a friendship with Jay for years and she suspects that the two have hooked up on various occasions. Jay’s rumored infidelity is a big reason that things have turned sour and feeding the divorce rumors is the fact that Beyonce has been real estate shopping- alone. Girlfriend was spotted looking at apartments in NYC on the sly recently. Up until this point Jay has always been involved with anything involving real estate so it was pretty obvious that this apartment hunt was for Beyonce alone and not another family home for the couple to settle in to.
