Beyonce and Jay-Z are currently embroiled in a battle of media manipulation over cheating and divorce, where each of them is trying to get their own version of the split out to the public. Both of them are perfectionists and both of them are sticklers for PR control, so it makes sense that both of them would be vying to get their story heard first. Unfortunately, the public is then left with two contrasting stories fed to them by the media, and it just makes the whole situation an even bigger mess than it was in the first place.
Despite the duo’s insistence on continuing with their tour, sources tell US Weekly that Jay-Z and Beyonce aren’t even sleeping in the same room anymore. Apparently, they’re doing their best to avoid each other, with sources explaining, “They stayed separately in both New York and L.A. for several nights.”
Beyonce’s also been touring New York for apartments, but she’s been doing it without Jay-Z. So what’s the narrative? See, we kept getting reports last week that Beyonce and Jay-Z were just fine, followed by contradicting stories stating that Jay-Z wanted to end the marriage, but Beyonce was down with keeping up the charade. And then, just days later, we got more stories about how Beyonce was insisting on the divorce, even though Jay-Z wanted to stay together. So who to believe?
This particular report from US Weekly smells like a Team Beyonce plant, especially with the whole Beyonce searching for apartments alone part. They’re trying to sell her as this scorned ex-wife, but you know that doesn’t fit Beyonce’s image at ALL. If anything, it’s more likely that she called off their marriage because of the humiliation that she endured after Jay-Z’s cheating affairs went public.
