Fans of The Real Housewives of New Jersey are absolutely thrilled to have Jacqueline Laurito back in the mix. Bravo execs axed her earlier this season in favor of bringing back Dina Manzo – who returned with the stipulation that Jacqueline Laurito be fired. The two women have been feuding for years now and producers reassured Dina that Jacqueline was a goner in favor of letting viewers’ catch up with her life instead. Dina Manzo’s life has changed since she was last seen on camera, she’s divorced and her daughter was heading off to college, so producers thought that her storyline would be of interest.
Instead the ratings for this season of The Real Housewives of New Jersey have absolutely tanked. The three new hires are beyond boring and we already know that Teresa Giudice is as much a criminal as Melissa Gorga is a materialistic pot stirrer. Fans don’t really care to watch any more of that so Bravo realized that they actually do need Jacqueline Laurito in the mix. Her honesty about dealing with her autistic son has resonated with many and she always seemed to be the most “real” one of the bunch. Bravo hopes that Jacqueline will boost ratings and she might be their only hope.
Obviously Dina Manzo is beyond pissed. She was brought in with the understanding that Jacqueline was a goner and is now refusing to film any seasons with her while also threatening to quit. Producers would love to get the two women together for a few scenes because the drama will no doubt be explosive.
