A few weeks before Mercedes Benz New York Fashion Week the social networking sites for Holmes & Yang’s label went quiet. Instead of building up to the great twice yearly event it was like the offices had gone dark and a few days after fashion week wrapped up we had confirmation that the label had walked its final runway. Of course Katie Holmes has been very gracious about the severing ties with former business partner Jeanne Yang. She’s not exactly one to make verbal waves and so she is chalking the demise of the line to her desire to focus on acting and parenting. Unfortunately she felt like she wasn’t going to be able to devote the kind of time that the clothing line deserved so it was better to go out on a high note. At least that’s the story that Katie is very politely telling.
According to the March 24th print edition of Star Magazine it’s actually a whole lot messier than that. Katie knows for sure that someone sold her out to the tabloids after she split with Tom Cruise and she also knows that someone has handed them detailed information on her hook ups with Jamie Foxx. Apparently Katie is pretty damn sure that Jeanne is the rat and that is the biggest reason of all for her pulling the plug on the label that she loved so much. Not only did Katie cut Jeanne from her life but Suri has also lost her two besties in the mess because Jeanne’s daughters are obviously not welcome any more either.
